Dextrose or Fruit Juice Postworkout - Wednesday, July 01, 2009 1:32 AM ( #1 )
Hey guys for a while I've been lazy and my diet has been crap but Im getting serious again. Im buying creatine mono tommorow and was wondering if I dextrose was needed. I know it helps spike your insulin and absorb the nutrients but do you think fruit juice will do the trick?

Also still in confused btween the protein and creatine in one shake. Half the people on the board say its fine and its better and the other say not to lol. I was just gunna do protein, creatine, dextrose(maybe) for postworkout...what do you think?

I actually stopped takin supplemnts for a while but I gotta start up again in college because food wont be as accesible :/

Dextrose is so cheap, I believe fruit juice is a lot more expensive in the end, and you really don't need all that fructose anyway.

BTW what's the problem with creatine PostWO?  I've never heard anyone say that's a bad idea.  Protein/creatine/dextrose seems like a solid choice to me.

your completely fine mixing them all together.  one article talked about studies showing you absorbed it better with like 46g of protein 46 g carbs than 92 g of just high GI carbs.  I don't think you should really worry too much about it, whey protein is fairly fast digesting so you should be fine.
