Day T-1

The Replenish is here. I'll be using it for the first time tomorrow after my lift but I just wanted to note my first impressions.

  • It says 15 servings, but knowing Designer Supplements, there are probably 17 or so, we'll find out later.
  • The packaging is cool, but it's almost impossible to read all the dark purple letters on the black background. I almost can't read the bullet points on the front at all. The only things clear on the front is the flavor (Watermelon Splash) because it's bright pink and the Designer Nutrition logo because it's out lined in yellow.
  • The rule usually goes that if you can stand the taste of the powder then the drink should be ok. I could make candy out of this powder, it tastes so good.

I can't wait to start tomorrow. I'm in serious training 6 days a week, and need something to help me recover more quickly between sessions. I hope Replenish is what I've been looking for.

Appreciate your initial thoughts on it.  You're definitely not the first person to have difficulty reading the label, so hopefully it'll get corrected on future runs.

Monday

Lift Chest and Bis

Tried Replenish for the first time mixing it in water with a spoon. Didn't mix very well. The taste wasn't horrible but the texture was gross. I tried to just chug it but the texture got me after 4 or 5 swallows and I gagged and had to spit it out. I guess I'll try using the blender tomorrow, though I hate having to use a blender for every shake. It's too much hassle to pull it out and wash it every time.

If it doesn't work in the blender I'll wind up eating it with a spoon, because the powder tastes great.

I had to stop lifting for a bit there as I had to do some intense chiropractic care that I wasn't expecting.Smile I barely broke into the tub but I will be starting up lifting again either this week or next. Don't worry. The review is coming!Smile

OK I am so very very sorry this review took so long. Soon after I received the Replenish my chiropractor basically demanded that I stop lifting. After 3 months he let me start again. Luckily I hadn't really cracked into the tub so I could start over.

Replenish by Designer Supplements

Lasted - 18 days - A+
The package says 15 but it lasted for 18 plus I used it twice before so definitely a little extra in there.

Taste - Powder - A+ Mixed in water - D
I could not figure out how to get it to disolve all the way in water and the texture was gross so I kept gagging. This should be made into hard candy though because the powder is amazing. For all 18 days I simply ate a scoop of powder, no problem. It's supposed to be taken as half a glass right after and then sip the other half for 20 minutes but that wasn't going to happen.

Price - At 37.99 www.supplements101.com it's reasonable for the product. I would purchase it myself at that price.

About me: Female, Age 20, 5'6" 118lbs
Lifts (for 10):
Bench 42.5
Shoulder press 42.5
Deadlift 42.5 (back injury)
Front squat 42.5
Clean 32.5 (back injury)

Day 1 - Legs
Front squat 3x10 - 42.5
Lunges 3x10 - 32.5
Cleans 3x10-32.5
Calf raises 3x20-42.5
-Ate scoop of Replenish

Don't feel anything after eating it and still feel pretty sore in my glutes, hamstrings and quads the next day. Its the first day though, so I have to give it a chance.

Day 2 - Chest/Shoulders
Bench press 3x10-42.5
Shoulder press 3x10-42.5
Front raise 3x10-42.5
-Scoop of Replenish

Feel sore on the outsides of my chest and front delts, but it isn't horrible.

Day 3 - Back
Deadlift 3x10-62.5
BB Row 3x10-42.5
Pullovers 3x10-22.5
-Scoop Replenish

- Not really sore. Maybe the Replenish is starting to work?

Day 4 - OFF

- Not too sore in the back from yesterday.

Day 5 - Arms
BB curls 3x10-32.5
Reverse curls 2x10-22.5
Skull crusher 3x10-22.5
Close grip bench 3x10-32.5
-Scoop of Replenish

Don't feel sore later at all in the arms or anywhere for that matter. Also felt like I had a little more energy to do more, but I know I shouldn't so I'll wait for next week.

Day 6 - OFF

I don't feel sore or tired at all. With this being my first week coming back after 12 weeks of not lifting, I expected to feel a little more worn down. I actually wanted to lift but I'm trying to stick to my schedule.

Day 7 - Legs
Front squat 3x10-42.5
Cleans 3x10-32.5
Lunges 3x10-32.5
Calf raises 1x20-42.5 2x20-62.5
-Scoop Replenish

The cleans were really easy today. So were the calf raises so after a set at 42.5 I did the final 2 sets at 62.5.

Day 8 - Chest/Shoulders
Shoulder press - 3x10-42.5
Bench press 3x10-42.5
Front raise 3x10-42.5
-Scoop Replenish

The bench and the shoulder press weren't too hard but I don't think I can jump up to 62.5lbs yet.

Day 9 - Back
Deadlift 3x10-42.5
BB row 3x10-42.5
Pullovers 3x10-22.5
-Scoop Replenish

The deadlift actually wasn't too hard but my chiropractor warned me not to try to go too far too fast so I left it at 42.5lbs. I still feel fine. No more soreness.

Day 10 - OFF

Day 11 - Arms
BB curl 3x10-32.5
Reverse 2x10-22.5
Skullcrusher 3x10-22.5
Close grip bench 3x10-32.5
-Scoop Replenish

The BB curls are not too bad, I may try to do 42.5 next week, same goes for the close grip bench. After 2 rounds of my program, I'm pretty happy with the progress. Very happy that I'm not feeling sore the following day.

Day 12 - OFF

Day 13 - Legs
Cleans - 3x10-42.5
Front squat 3x10-42.5
Lunges 3x10-32.5
Calf raises 3x10-72.5
-Scoop Replenish

Took the cleans up 10lbs and it felt good. Probably going to take the calf raises up next time again.

Day 14 - Chest/Shoulders
Bench 3x8-62.5
Shoulder press 3x8-62.5
Front raise 3x10-42.5
- Scoop Replenish

I bumped the bench and the shoulder press up 20lbs but was only able to get 8 reps. Still, that's awesome and hopefully I'll get 10 reps next time.

Day 15 - Back
Deadlift 3x10-62.5
BB row 3x10-42.5
Pullover 3x10-22.5
-Scoop Replenish

I took the deadlift up 20lbs and was able to do it without any pain in my lower back. Yey!

Day 16 - OFF

Day 17 - Arms
Skull crusher 3x10-32.5
Close grip 3x10-42.5
BB curl 3x8-42.5
Reverse curl 3x10-22.5
-Scoop Replenish

I bumped the skull crushers up 10lbs, the close grip up 10lbs and the curls up 10lbs but was only able to get 8 reps. Still I'm very happy and should be able to get all 10 reps next time.

Day 18 - OFF

Day 19 - Legs
Front squat 3x10-62.5
Cleans 3x10-42.5
Lunges 3x10-32.5
Calf raises 3x20-92.5
-Scoop replenish

Took the front squat up 20lbs! Also added 20lbs to the calf raises!

Day 20 - Chest/Shoulders
Bench 3x10-62.5
Shoulder press 3x10-62.5
Front raise 3x10-42.5
- Scoop Replenish

It was hard but I did it! All 10 reps on the bench and shoulder press. Very happy.

Day 21 - Back
Deadlift 3x10-72.5
BB row 3x10-42.5
Pullovers 3x10-22.5
-Scoop Replenish

Added another 10lbs to the deadlift and it wasn't too hard but I think I'm going to leave it there to now to save my back.

Day 22 - Arms
BB curl 3x10-42.5
Reverse curl 3x10-22.5
Skullcrusher 3x10-32.5
Close grip 3x10-42.5
-Scoop Replenish

Got all 10 reps on everything. Awesome!

Day 23 - OFF

Day 24 - Legs
Front squat 3x10-62.5
Cleans 3x10-42.5
Lunges 3x10-32.5
Calf raises 3x10-92.5
-Scoop Replenish

Day 25 - Chest/Shoulders
Bench 3x10-62.5
Shoulder press 3x10-62.5
Front raise 3x10-42.5
-Scoop Replenish

That's it! I ran out.Smile Final stats.

Still Female, Still 5'6" 124lbs (yey!)
Bench - 62.5
Shoulder press 62.5
Deadlift 62.5
Front squat 62.5
Clean 42.5

4 of my big lifts went up 20lbs and I gained 6lbs overall! Replenish helped me to recover faster without being sore or tired, allowing me to lift more and build more muscle! The only negative I could find to this product is the taste so the grade it gets from me is A-. Great job Designer Supplements on another fine product.SmileSmileSmileSmile

Nice work...........
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the taste of it.  I find it a little gritty but nothing too bad.  Though your apporach is very novel.

This is one of the products DS will be discontuining so stock up while retailers still have it in stock
