I know it's beneficial to drink whey within 30 minutes following your workout, but I haven't heard of people drinking it before.  Was is something an individual recommended or a statement from an article?

I've read somewhere that if you drink whey half hour before the workout and right after gives you double gains. I have never heard of this before, is it true or what?

I dont know about double the gains, but its a great idea to consider, if your not already, taking Whey pre and post work out..........The pre-workout whey allows the body to be saturated with fast-digesting protein to be used right away for protein synthesis to build muslce while you lift...This allows the protein to be delivered to your muscle, to start the recovery process sooner.......

i have been drinking whey after every workout for a while now.

Well add one, pre-workout.....whats its gonna harm, to try it out, better safe than sorry...If you dont have time to drink it 15-30 min. b4 a workout...then mix one up in the locker room at the gym.....When I was doing Cardio after my workout, I would even take some Whey right after my workout, then take some more after my cardio....

What you speak of is exactly what I am going to start doing. Taking 30-40 grams of Whey pre-workout, then 40-50 grams post is a great idea. This entails the body is fully stored with protein when it needs it most. Then of course, take something before bed!

I actually started doing this about 2 1/2 months ago and I am extremely satisfied with the gains.  I wouldn't say double the gains, but to me it's definitely noticeable.

all bodybuilders do it. Ive been doing it for a while now, it just keeps your body from breaking muscle down during your workout and helps deliver constant aminos and protien to your muscles.

pre and post is what i've always heard (both within 30 MIN) and if you can afford it a shake every three hours.

Theirs no need in taking Whey every 3 hours, you should be getting plenty of protein from animal sources (Beef,Chicken,Milk,Tuna,Eggs,etc...), in your daily diet....Its best if you take Whey pre and post workout, also first thing in the morning.........
