jogging is a good exercise. if you jog , jog on your off days at the gym or as far away from a workout as possible. if you jog 2 to 3 times a week i doubt you will lose size. jog at least 8 hours after you workout or on off days from lifting. 20 to 30 minutes is good.  keep up the protein intake . increase protein and calories if you dont want to lose size too. do you have fat you want to lose?

hey

well if you have fat covering your belly than decreasing your calories might help. decrease by 500. i have a huge belly. im trying to get rid of it. thats where all my fat is mostly in my belly. ya do the jogging and dont worry about getting skinny its real hard well for me at least lol. moderate jogging isnt going to make you lose alot of wieght. so jog like 3 times a weak but not after a wieght lifting workout. when jogging for 30 minutes you only burn like 300 calories anyway. eat healthy foods with lots of protien to maintain muscle. fish eggs steak fruits vegatables.

ya continue drinking the whey protien. you might want to try high intensity cardio for a shorter time for fat loss. its supposed to burn more fat versus long duration cardio low intensity can burn off the muscle. but 3 times a week wont do much in burning muscle . i would recomend high intesity and shorter amount of time than 30 minutes like real high intensity. there is this cardio that other members here talk about called guerlio cardio its only 12 minutes im going to try it becuase i got no where with 30 minutes 3 days a week. if you google gureilla cardio you can find info on it easy.

What is bad about jogging a while after a work-out?  What does that do?  I'm about to start lifting and running a bit, but want to get bigger and yet show abs, if I can get there...just curious.

jogging after a workout can potentially burn muscle that your trying to build. after you lift weights the best thing for you to do is rest not go jogging for 30 minutes. if you space out the lifting alot with the cardio then there is no potential to burn off the muscle. you want to rest after you lift weights not do extensive cardio. on the max ot website they explain this about cardio. i think they  say something like weight at least 12 hours after you lift weights . i have seen other websites say this too. if you have it on seperate days the cardio and the lifting then that willl give potential for optimum results. you dont want to burn off muscle your trying to build. its just a bad time in my opinion from what i have read to jog even 5 hours after lifting. in order to build muscle you need a certain number of calories. so if you jog right after some of the calories lost could have been used for muscle. this is the same reason you dont want to go into a workout day of lifting weights and make it last 2 hours. there are certain nutrients that go down in the body needed to build muscle after like 50 minutes. its good to keep your wieght lifting workout between 30 minutes to 45 minutes tops for optimium effect. 50 minutes is ok but not much more than that. you dont want to spend 2 hours lifting weights . for one your energy goes down . and you need that intensity to workout properly.and certian nutrients needed to build muscle go down.
