Nope, not at all. It should be the required amount depending on your goals...so if you are bulking, you will eat enough calories for that. Thsi is why: When you are resting, that is when your muscles are growing, not when you are in the gym. Itis logical therefore that the muscles require the nutrients more when they are actually growing!
