Decent? - Tuesday, May 24, 2005 5:19 PM
Hello I'm 15, i'll be 16 in September. Lately ive been working out alot more, im 5'8" and 120-125....not very much i know lol. Ive noticed my chest and shoulders have got alot bigger.....My bench is 175 right now, is that decent for somebody my size?

3 week ago my max bench was 125, not its at 175 everybody was really impressed at my gains and ive been working hard is that pretty good? Any tips on how i should work out my bench? Usually i'll do a pyramid of 165 as in do

Weight-Reps
95-10
115-8
135-6
155-4
175-1

Thanks

a 175 bench is very impressive considering most people in their early-mid teens can't bench their own bodyweight, and your almost doing 1.5 times it! But the true tests of strength that most teenagers don't realize is the Squat and the Deadlift. I hope your doing those too, through these you'll help to improve your bench as well.
