i just received my peanut butter fudge sustain bar from Designer Supps

the nutrition facts are:

calories....................300g
total fat...................9g
  saturated fat........1.5g
  trans fat..............0g
cholesterol...............0mg
sodium....................240mg
total carbs...............35g
  dietary fiber.........2g
  sugars................16g
protein...................20g

Ingredients:  sodium caseinate, whey protein concentrate, soy protien isolate, skimmed milk, honey, dark chocolate coating(sugar, cocoa butter, vanillin, cocoa, emulsifier: lecithin), peanut butter, peanuts, vegetable oil, salt, flavoring.

Allergy Warning: this product contains peanuts, and may contain traces of other nuts.  do not consume if you have a nut allergy of any kind.

i just took my first bite, and wow, its really good. its better than labrada lean body bars, its better than detour and one way bars, better than balance bars.

i really like how they used honey to sweeten it instead of an arfticial sweetener like sucralose or acesulfame k.

i give the bar a 10/10!  when they come out in stores im gonna get a box and bring a bar or two with me to school everyday.

Cool.  Please start a separate thread.  It would be best if everyones opinions on the bars were in one thread, and everyones opinions on the protein in another.

I got my free samples a couple days ago.

I tried the sustain bar first. It was pretty good. Had a good flavor but it was kind of grainy, like a lot of other protein bars but this was one of the better ones i've tried. I don't know if the actual flavor matched the title that well. I didn't really get a peanut butter fudge taste. It was not tough to chew like most bars and had a very sweet aftertaste... i wouldn't mind more peanuts in it though.... over all the bar was good and I would recomend it to anyone looking for a quick snack. The best part of it though was the very sweet aftertaste. Good job on the bars DN!

Now the sustain powder.... by far the best tasting protein powder I've ever tried. It was so sweet that I wanted seconds. I mixed a quarter cup with about 6-8 ounces of 2% milk first. I had a little difficulty mixing it completely. Over all the mixing went well with a spoon but it would leave these little chunks up at the top... a blender or shaker will make a very smooth shake. The taste is excellent. A very very sweet milk shake-like taste. Silky smooth once properly mixed too.

The 2nd shake I mixed with water... it took away a little of the thickness of the shake but that's to be expected. Still delicious but i'd recomend you drink it with milk.

3rd shake, I mixed the same measurements in milk again... but I added a spoonful of flax seed oil. The Sustain powder completely covered the taste of the oil. No bitterness whatsoever. Excellent product so far.

Over all I've enjoyed my first DN products. I can't wait to get my hands on a tub of Sustain powder. I don't know about the bars though... the shakes just blow the bars away as far as taste goes. The texture of the bars could be worked on but as I mentioned already they are very edible. Deffinately go out and get a tub of Sustain powder ASAP. Its so good. I still have a couple servings of the powder left but it'll be gone soon. I give the bars a 7 out of 10.... 10 being the best. The powder gets a 10 out of 10. Muscle Milk, ON 100% and all other protein powders can bite my muscular ass. Sustain is the shyt!

How filling are the bars?  At 300 calories . . . It would be nice if there was a bar that felt like a meal when you're done eating it, instead of just masquerading as one. Smile
