DNP - Tuesday, July 06, 2004 11:33 AM ( #1 )
I have been reading about the supplement DNP to use for fat loss. I have heard a lot of good things about it...mostly the fact that if taken properly that one can lose a pound of fat per day over a conservative 10-12 day cycle. Has anyone heard about this supplement or does anyone have some experience with it that can be written about? I know we are all trying to shed those few extra pounds, and any help would be appreciated...

If I remember correctly, DNP is supposed to be hella effective, but it makes your body temp shoot up (enough to kill you if you don't know what you're doing -- or so the story goes), and makes you feel like utter crap. Basically you hit it for a week or two and then recover...

But I don't really know enough about it to really recommend for or against it.

This is the first time I've heard of it- If those stories are true, personally, I'd rather do it the old fashioned way, through proper diet and cardio. Losing those last few pounds can be hard, but hell- I call in sick when I have the flu, 'cos it's not fun. The only stuff I ingest is stuff that makes me feel good- Why would I want to take something that's going to make me feel like crap?

I've never heard of that product either.....one product that I know seems to raise my temperature and I sweat a whole hell of a lot more is SAN T3. Taken on the regular dosage, you don't feel anything like the flu...but you definitely have noticibly higher temperature levels.

I've never heard of DNP but i knwo that ECA stacks are great... if you can get a hold of ephedrine since it is illegal in the US.

Well...update to the original post...

I just got done with a 10-day cycle at 500mg/day. The stuff makes you sweat balls...like, seriously. You sweat like you are running a slow jog all day. It's like literally exercise in a pill. I dropped 10 pounds in those 10 days with a "dirty" diet, and it's still coming off 4 days after it has stopped. With a strict diet and exercise routine along with experience, these results I imagine could double. I did notice that I was a bit weaker, but no flu feelings. The sweat and heat is what really dragged me down...I just didn't want to go outside except to the lake which was waaaay better if you are running a DNP cycle!

If anyone is considering a DNP cycle, you'll need to do your research and make sure you take all the supplements that keep you on the up-and-up (i.e. ECA to curb those hella-carb-cravings and to give you energy, anti-oxidants, and other stuff). I won't list any sites specifically, but just do a search for "dnp resource" on Google and you'll get some info about it. It's for sure not as dangerous as others have made it out to be as long as you use your head. Good luck...

Peace,
Dingo
