I know it'll hold 315-365 and if I put a metal bracket down in the dip I'm sure it'll hold well over 400. Edit: The thing with individual stand is when it starts to get really top heavy is when it gets risky so if I were to lift that much (I'm not) I would need bigger buckets/more concrete or some type of bracing to keep it from tipping.

that is perhaps the simplest and most effective homemade rack I have seen so far it looks like you just used 2x4s of various length to create the bar rests, am I right? I very well may do this myself

I used 2 1/2" screws and layered them screwing 2 boards together at a time. I don't know if you can see in the pic but I drew lines on the sides to show where the screws are as I layered. You could also lag or bolt them as well.

That's pretty cool, veyr innovative. I wouldn't reccomend lags though, simply because the wood could split.

There are tons of options for putting it together. I've seen it happen . But looking at it again, that's a pretty brilliant design. When I tried to make one, I made it out of metal, and made it similar to how a normal squat rack looks, and it broke. This idea seems solid, as long as you don't use too much weight. Also, are you going to chain it down or anything? I could see a possibility of moving forward too much and knocking one of them down, that would be terriibly troublesome.

Yea that's what I was saying earlier as you get up in weight and it gets more top heavy one would need a larger base or to tack bracing to it. I'll brace it if I feel it's getting a little wobbly but for now it holds up fine. It rocks a little but I'd have to try to knock one over.
