Hi this is one of my first posts. I've been bodybuilding for a while now. im 6'2'' 195lbs and around 8% body fat. Anyway, I've already taken a cycle of dhea at 25,50,75,25 mgs/day/week, with a two week break with the animal pack testboost/estroblocker mixed in. I just started taking dhea again, this time at 100,75,50 repeating scheme to keep my receptors guessing. The question is What do you all think of DHEA. What do you classify it as? Being that it is a naturally present hormone in the human body. Also is it worth the mild acne to be taking?

When you say cycle... it's as if you think this is a hormone/roid. You know you can by this at Wal-Mart. Any results?

Yea, dhea is a hormone naturally present in your body around adolescense (sp?). And i do take it in "cycles." I've had some pretty good gains from it. After taking it for 1 month i found myself with more definition, lower noticeable body fat, great pumps, and my muscles generally felt more dense. Side Effects were acne, which i already have mildly-just got worse, and increased irritablility. I just wanted to know if there are some people out there that have been taking it for an extended period of time. I know this used to be popular with andro and trib, but not so much anymore.

DHEA is a hormone excreted in the adrenal glands. It IS hormonal, however, its said to be less than mildly effective for those under the age of 40 for the simple reason that untill a man reaches 40, his adrenal glands excrete more than enough of this hormone. Taking DHEA at an age under 40 years old is like taking tribulus at 17, it MAY do a little for you, but it will be no where's near as effective as if you were to take it at 30. I read somewhere online a little while back that DHEA was the first "pro-hormone", and it considered the anti age-ing hormone.
