DBB challenge #4
-
Monday, August 31, 2009 5:10 PM
( #1 )
ok i got a request to make this one hard, so I think this one will be good... If anyone is familiar with Tabata this will be something like that. this weeks challenge will involve squats, and we will go with 50% BW. You will do as many squats with 50% of your BW in 20 seconds, Keep track of how many squats you do. Then you will rest for 10 seconds. Rinse and repeat 10 times. After performing these squats, you must immediately perform as many push ups as possible in one set, and then immediately perform as many crunches as possible in one set. Going for a tri-fecta kind of thing this week for a full body type of challenge. You will add your total squats pushups and crunches together. If you cant even make the 10 sets of tababta squats your auto-disqualified. Good luck everyone!
6'3" @213 Squat 1x20x275 press:200, Deadlift:475, Bench:300, P.clean:235, Squat:385 "The only failure that is final is to stop trying to improve"

hmmm, so a total of 200 seconds of squatting half your body weight as fast as you can with breaks throughout. Shouldn't be as brutal as the all out deadlifts, but adding push ups and sit ups a set of each, dunno if I am even over the deadlifts. I will see if I can fit this one in, but If I feel bad at all I'm stopping.

Trust me...tabata sucks, especially for squats. it is definitely the second hardest thing I have done in the gym so far after 20 rep squats. CSP- its only 10 sets of the squats, then immediately following the squats its 1 set of all you can do push ups, then immediately 1 set of all you can do crunches. SEOINAGE hmmm, so a total of 200 seconds of squatting half your body weight as fast as you can with breaks throughout. Shouldn't be as brutal as the all out deadlifts, but adding push ups and sit ups a set of each, dunno if I am even over the deadlifts. I don't have space in my week for this one I don't think. I know it'll make my legs sore and they're already blown from lifting.

I think this is by far the best one yet. Seems to me that anybody in reasonable shape with a decent base in the weightroom should be able to put forth a worthwhile performance. I'd be all over it if I hadn't just screwed up my back, and I still might do it just for the hell of it once I'm feeling right again. So quit your bitchin' and just f'n do it!

Did I mention that I just got off a good cut and I only weigh 100lbs? Actually I would try this, but I know my damn old disk wouldn't let me make it through the 10 sets.

These werent tiring me but didnt want pains in my abs again so stopped there. A good quick workout, thanks for the motivation N$. Total - 410
