Cut or Bulk? - Friday, April 27, 2007 7:49 PM ( #1 )
Hey all, im 15, about 5'7 and 125ish pounds. My current goal is to get a 6pac and arms. I'm not fat, but I have a slight gut which I wanna get rid of, and a chest which I cant tell if its fat or muscle.

I have been reading on the forums, but I dont know what exactly should I start. So far, I do lots of arm curls, pull ups, normal crunches, running, benching, take 2 vitamin C pills a day, 1 pill of centrum, 1 pill of CoQ10 and drink 2 protein shakes.

Since I have school, I mostly have to skip breakfast (or ill be late to class) and eat only lunch, sometimes fastfood when I get home and sometimes dinner of steak.

Well, thats my situation, any help?

I hate to break this to you, but I also have early classes, and I get up 1.5 hours early to get the meals ready, and have breakfast, and then it's a 1hr trip to uni. I'm sure also there's plenty of other ppl like me and there's plenty of full time workers who have to get to work early, but they still eat breakfast. I'm assuming it's because you sleep in and have little time to prepare in the morning, thus wake up earlier!

If I were in your situtation, I'll probably start bulking. Here's an article which you can read, then ask questions on what you don't understand. Hope this helps.

So, you don't want a full proportional physique like the rest of "want it now" america. "I'll just have the 6 pack abs with a side of biceps please"

You need a complete workout routine hitting everything from your legs to your traps, you need to eat a ballanced diet and eat every 2.5-3 hours and DEFINATELY breakfast, then you need to create a workout split that works for your schedule.

I have to wake up at 5:30 to prepare my food and everything for the day before I have to drive 45 min. to college. To see real change it takes some commitment. You can't just be ham scam, do some curls, 400 crunches, then expect to be "ripped". If only it were that easy, everyone would be huge.

Thanks guys. I do want a fully proportional body, but my main goal is 6pac and biceps.

Also, I forgot to include, I play baseball alot and that gets in my way of working out sometimes.

But im totally ready to be commited.

to get a 6 pack of abs you need to do HIIT to lose some fat get your bodyfat % to around 10% and you should see your abs shine through also to workout your abs dont do over 20 reps but still work your abs a lot to do this...well prob the only way to do this is to use weights get some weights onto your chest and do some situps and your muscles are made of two muscle fiberes fast twitch and slow twitch you will have to work both muscles so do your reps likes this...fast up and slowly back down, and dont forget to eat healthy and get a full workout that will work out all your bodyparts :)
starting clean bulk

Well, I am making progress. About 8 weeks ago I had about 20% body fat, I now have 15.7%. Also, I eat breakfast.

Glad to hear it. Trust me, the abs and bicepts will come with the rest, it's a package deal. If you work those alone and have big bi's and ab's you might look kind of goofy because you don't have any width to your back, shoulders, legs ect. To truely look good you gotta be in proportion.
