Critique my physique. Some help needed.

Hello guys I know a lot of you guys know what you guys are talking about and I've been lurking around these forums for some time now. I think I posted once or twice when I was younger, probably like 16 or 17. Well I'm 20 now and trying to get that ripped/athletic look. I have been going to the gym on and off for 3 years now because of some problems here and there but most of all because I lose motivation. I really need some help trying to gain lean muscle. My body naturally gains muscle and mass quickly for the most part. I am 20 years old. Height: 5'10" Weight: 168lb BF%: Dont know but I would say somewhere around 13-15%? Maybe more. So generally my goals is to put more mass on my frame, and eventually cut to where I have a ripped/athletic body. When I started working out I did a 5 day split isolating my muscle groups, but the last thing I did was the 3 day split doing the strong lifts from www.stronglifts.com I don't know which one is better so I wanted to ask you guys and also to help me out on a diet. Im a college student and can't spend a lot of money on food. Sorry if all this is a big mess but please help. If you have any questions just ask and I'll answer them, thank you. Here are pictures of myself taken today. Sorry if their a little too big. Relaxed Front: Flexed Front: Relaxed Back: Flexed Back: Leg: Calves: Bicep: Tricep: I know my chest needs help but it never grows...

I'd say you're about 12-13% bf, you have a good starting point - better than most. You should look into a full body 3-day routine with the main compound lifts, that should give you some nice fast gains. As for diet, you can buy more than enough on a budget if you buy the right foods. Whole grains for one, pasta, brown rice, oats are all cheap for large amounts, vegetables like frozen peas, and fresh broccoli aren't too expensive either. The thing that is expensive is meat. The best thing to do is shop around and look where you can get the best deals. If you shop wisely on the carbs, then you should have a good amount of money left for the protein.

OK, I will be doing the 3 day strong lifts again, is there any other 3 day routine I am not aware about that would work good? I am also going to be starting a training journal if you guys want to follow it. Hopefully I get the motivation I've been looking for in there. Thanks for your response and I will definitely be purchasing good food next food trip. Right now I mostly eat eggs, rice, hotdogs, french fries, fried bologna, fried hot dog, Chicken breast. In other words I eat really bad and I need to changed that.

Theres plenty of variations of 3 days, full body, push pull, upper lower - and each of those has a bunch of various well known programs, you just need to look at a bunch and decide which you want to try.

Look into Starting strength - you'll find it in the "3 day full body" in the critique my training section.

Be grateful for the headstart that you have. Here's what I do if I need motivation: hang around people stronger than you! The more you're around the ideal physical shape you want, the more guilty and driven you become.

Thanks guys. I was wondering if I should put off running? I like playing soccer maybe once a week and sweat a lot.

You can still do it, but you have to make up the calories afterwards.
