Hi, nice forum.

Ive been working out for the past 6months and eating healthy. But still not acheived the results i want, i recon i still got a long way to go before i get my body like Patrick Batemen. I have been reading up on Creatine and it sounds fantatic but i was wondering if creatine has to be a long term thing. If you stop will your muscles go down?

Cheers

I've noticed strength loss..

And I lose cell volumization (water)

But I retain the lean muscle mass that I've obtained from using creatine.

So.. you won't lose real muscle, just water and some strength.

Creatine, if you are a responder, is some good stuff! Smile

Thanks for the compliment.. and Welcome to DiscussBodybuilding.com

Ive got another creatine question. Is there any way to know if I will be a non-responder before one tries the product. I am defiently an ecto-moprh, being 6'1 and 152lbs. I am trying to gain muscle mass, and strength during this soccer season in preparation for wrestling. So, are there any clues to determine if creatine is the way to go, and if not, what would you reccomend?

Thanks, and nice forums!

Its hard to tell you really have to try it. Honestly most people right away slack off and blame creatine caliming they are non responders if they dont get results. So theres no sure answer, the product i really like is Sans V12 why? because it has the following.

Tricreatine Malate (Tri-Creatine Salt)
N.A.G(N-Acetyl L-Glutamine)
Betaine (Trimethylglycine)
Glycocyamine
NitroArginine(Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate)
Taurine

It also gives me less bloating i used to take creapure from On nutrition but i sold it off to my friend cuz i felt bloated in the stomach.

V12 is a lil mor pricey as compared to a normal Creatine product but i like it a lot!

So whatever you decide give it a try i guess most non responders turn to V12 and claim it works its all in the head i guess.

You can get on sale from here and for more information on it http://www.supplements101.com/store/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=sanv12

None that I'm aware of. But plain creatine mixed with dextrose is pretty cheap. So if it doesn't work, it's not big loss.

Most people do respond to creatine supplementation. And you'll know pretty fast. Water gain, you feel stronger.. you will gain some lean mass...

V12 is a pretty darn good product. It's a creatine transport system. Which is nice. But it's like an automatic or stick. Both can you to your destination, one is just easier? Maybe a bad analogy. I'm starving (hungry) and my brain is fried.

But you can tell from 1 month's usage. If you respond, you'll know it. And it won't break the bank to find out.

5g daily is the posted standard

Options:

2.5g before
2.5 after

OR

5g before

OR

5g after

If you go too high, you might experience stomach discomfort.

But there's people that do 10g a day without issues. You can try that, and if you experience any issues, back off the dosage.

3g seems low. 1g, 3x a day.. that's still only 3g a day.. lower then I've seen before.

Does this clarify it for you? If not, post back. Smile
