I heard that  if you take monohydrate and then once you finish your cycle and get off you lose most of the weight gained along with the size and strength? Anyone have any
input on this situation

I recently stopped taking a creatine that I was very fond of. I did so because it made me somewhat bloated and I've decided to cut for the summer. I haven't lost much strength but I've definately leaned out a noticable amount IMO.  Keep in mind that I have a bodytype that loses weight much easier than it gains.  The best advice that I can give you is don't depend on creatine. Dont think that once you take it your going to be a beast and once you stop your going to be some puny twirp. It certainly helped me put on a couple of lbs and throw up a little extra weight....but I attribute 97% of my gains to CONSISTENCY in diet and hard training. Hope this helps.

When you start taking creatine you will almost immediately gain some weight between 1-7 lbs due to water being drawn into your muscle cells. More water is needed by your muscles to support the extra levels of phosphocreatine that creatine supplementation brings. So this immediate weight gain is mostly water weight.

But when you stop taking creatine you will lose this water weight, but all the muscle size and strength that you have gained along the way WILL stay. So you have nothing to worry about.

I take EAS phosphagen HP...Its pretty cheap and i get good results out of it. I will agree that creatine makes you gain water weight. But whats wrong with that unless your precompetition...or a pre beach day?
