Creatine and Glutamine mix? - Wednesday, December 14, 2005 6:10 PM
I have taken several supplements in the past, but the ones that have worked best for me were creatine and glutamine.  I am just curious if anyone knows of a good creatine/glutamine mixed product?

I honestly dont think glutamine does anything.  From what I have seen, study wise, its been proven to do nothing.

Glutamine works.. it gets you pumped up, it works well with protein and with creatine.  IF you are a body builder take your Glutamine.

Cellmass contains 2g per serving. You take two servings a day = 4g. You can also get it from some protein shakes(Met-RX Original).

Pratically all the supplements I take have glutamine in them, but I'm with Vario I would never buy it on my own I don't think its really going to do anything; however, I think that if you don't get enough your hindering yourself, but I think that it would be hard to deprive yourself of that much of it.

I was on Glutamine for a short while and I noticed no real improvements. All it did was make me really moody and give me a headache.

Hey Apollo;

I remember when I first started training I was doing 3-day splits. A 3 day split would take me total of 9 days because I needed a 2 day recovery period after each w/o. Started taking L-Glutamine twice a day for a month. After that my 3-day splits became 3-day splits. I’m a firm believer that L-Glutamine helped my recovery process in attaining a normal 3-day split at that time and I still take L-G today.

Peace

Yeha it probably did because its probably an amino that you werent getting enough of. And sandman i don't think the moodiness or headaches were from the glutamine.

Well it was not form Glutamine, it is not made to imrprove you, its helps joints and muscle refabrication...........headaches are from something else!  NOt enough water or caffiene or who knows what your are including in your diet that could be doing this, even a lack of magnesium or potassium can result in headaches, being on the pc for too long, tight traps.............but glutamine is not known for this.

i took glutamine alone just too see what it did. it didnt really do much for me. it just made the recovery time shorter after workouts. it gave me a lil more muscle pump too i guess. i think it was just the mental part of thinking i was on a "suppliment", other then protein its the only thing iv taken, but i wanted to work out alot more once i took it for some reason. im going to start taking cellmass and no-xplode soon so ill let yall know how to goes for me.

Well the moodiness was not probably not directly from the glutamine it was probably from having a headache and the headaches were from my eyes straining which I could have sworn the glutamine was doing it to me. But I believe you. :)
