Creatine = Steroids ?
-
Sunday, January 04, 2004 6:46 PM
Hi, Im new here and I am not trying to be rude or Piss anyone off. I came along here and started reading this forum and Joined right away. Everyone has question about creatine and It has comme to my attension that a lot of people think that Creatine is either a steroid like substance or is going to bring you the effects of Steroids. WTF??? Again,im not trying to be an ass. But you guys need to do more research about bodybilding and suplements because creatine is a natural compound that is found in the body and will help you "last longer" if at all, personally I think Creatine is a waste of money since you can give yourself strenght and extra power to do that last rep by pumping yourself up before you go to the gym, listening to a good song and just concentrate and think about your goals. Creatine can be producet in your mind, (no im not crazy). But i also wanted to include something else, If you don't have a very good diet, at least 8 hours of sleep, a multi-vitamin,protein, and good rest inbetween your workouts, there is not supplement in the world that is going to help you achieve the body/results that you want.
Bodybuilding is my Religion...The Gym is my Temple...The DB's my tools of prayer... Height: 5'11 Weight: 218 BodyFat%: 14.12 (Just ended Bulking Cycle) 19 years old, Steroid Free.

It has comme to my attension that a lot of people think that Creatine is either a steroid like substance or is going to bring you the effects of Steroids. I've never seen a post that lead me to believe that. Regardless.. Welcome to DB! But i also wanted to include something else, If you don't have a very good diet, at least 8 hours of sleep, a multi-vitamin,protein, and good rest inbetween your workouts, there is not supplement in the world that is going to help you achieve the body/results that you want. I wish I knew about this forum when I was 16. While I was busying making my protein shakes and knowing nothing about nutrition.. I was in continual search of the magic pill. Too bad I skipped the big old fridge right behind me. I agree with your statement. And if people think it's sooo obvious, think again because the thinking above is probably 99% absent in most teens. If they only did the above, their gains would be 75% better..

I havent seen any threads that people think creatine will give you steroid results or is like steroids either. Perhaps i missed some threads. People do ask questions that have been previously asked & answered since they dont search before hand. You dont even need the multi-vitamin if you have a very good diet since it will be supplied there. I feel diet is #1, exercise/lifting is #2 then supplementation is #3. Also it depends if creatine works for you. It works great for me, i am one who responds to it very well and it is not a product of my mind.

yea, where does it say creatine equals steroids. you have the right to your own opinion about creatine but many ppl, including myself, have used and will continue to use it based on our experiences with it.

Yeah, he's chewing us out for saying things we never said, and then acting like he knows things we don't. Blah blah blah, supplements are no substitute for hard work, good diet, and suffienct rest. Well DUH. Welcome to the board, and do fully expect to get ripped apart if you say stupid crap! ___________________________________ When people ask me for the "quick and easy" way to build muscle I say "lift, eat, sleep, repeat".

Please get in line, as I am in charge of doing the ripping. Actually, what amused me more, was the plethora of inaccuracies contained therein.

That's standard for someone trying to show how much smarter they are than you I thought we had a number system like at the DMV for who's turn it is to rip new A-holes in people who sorely deserve it?

Finally a use for the score! We could say that if you have the bigger score you go first?? I see no other use for it yet.

Alright, but I need more points, as I am ahead of you Marc -- if only because I am so much better at it.
