Creatine Bulking only? - Friday, May 23, 2008 7:12 PM
Is creatine for those who want to bulk and and gain muscle mass only? I mean if you were hoping to have a nice cut chest and maybe viewable abs for the summer would you not recommend creatine (MONO) to be put into the stack?

Unless ecto, I dont reccomend using creatine on a cutting regiment. Adds too much excess water weight.

Yeah I figured...I am starting to see very nice gains and a solid cut yet muscle growth with my good diet and loads of protein..Don't really want Creatine to damper that, I will just wait until Fall to buy a tub if I want to bulk it up.

i would continue using creatine while cutting.  it will help you keep more muscle during your cut.  if you are worried about having extra water weight, dont, it will go away in a week or so after you quit using creatine.

I agree to continue using creatine while cutting...it may help reduce muscle loss, and creatine aids in gaing lean mass and we all know the more lean mass you have, the more fat you can burn

Yeah, creatine is good to take when cutting because it helps maintain the your muscle mass. Also, it promotes the oxidization of fat during workouts. Also, it will help with maintaining your endurance when you run a lot while cutting, so yes, use it when cutting.

Yes, creatine on a cut is good.

Use Kre-alkalyn or something that wont give you the water retention.

RollingStone, I have tried Kre-Alkalyn and it didn't do anything for me.

If I get a creatine for the summer it will be a mono micronized one. However, I am afraid of the major water retention making my pecs look more moobish then solid. Currently my pecs got a little fat on them but are looking more solid then ever and I don't want the water retention in creatine to screw that up.

But I am considering using some micro mono.

BTW, RollinStone and Scuba do you guys currently use Creatine? If so which ones, you guys are pretty big...I see no water retention at all.

ive just switched from mono to kre-alkalyn about a week ago, to try and get rid of some bloat.  Havn't been taking it long enough to tell you what i think of it.

I would say get some micronized monohydrate creatine. You won't be covered in a layer of water. It helps a lot with muscle growing and you will probably see some nice results with it. It has been proven that it works.
Weight: 192
Height: 6'

Bench: 190

Stack: Cell-Tech, NO-Xplode, BCAA, WHEY Protein, Omega-3 Flax Fish Oil, Animal Pak.

Well I've used creatine twice..Once Kre-Alkalyn and it didn't work, the next time I used a Pre-Load Monohydrate creatine and that didn't do much either..

Is there that big of a difference between Monohydrate and Micronized Monohydrate creatine? The both times ive used creatine I haven't seen great results, am I maybe just one of those people that don't respond to creatine? Or does creatine work for everyone and I was just not using it correctly?

Alright thanks. I am really contimplating using creatine or not, since it is summer I am afraid of that bloated bubbly muscle look. However, if that is you in your avatar and thats when you are on creatine than I guess you are using it correctly and it doesnt necessarily give you that bloated look at all.
