Creatine and Hiking - Thursday, November 13, 2008 11:46 AM
Now I know this is a little offtopic but I've been wondering about it.

I go on long hikes that can take multiple days, Such as parts of the Appalachian trail.

My question is Would Creatine help with hydration?
When we take breaks in town we like to rehydrate a lot and I would think taking creatine would Help with retaining more water before heading out.

Also I would think it would help with soarness from using the muscles all day?

Be sure to drink plenty of water while using creatine. Creatine causes intramuscular fluid to increase, which could lead to partial dehydration if not being compensated for.
