Crap Problems

Ive noticed whenever i go on keto i get constipated. Now when im off it, this never happens. Im guessing due to the lack of carbs coincides with the fact i get almost no fiber. Not sure if thats what it is. Has anyone else had this problem?

Ive never experienced the problem, though Ive heard others complain. You should make sure youre getting your green vegetables cause Im willing to be youre not getting as much as you should. Over time though youll probably adapt, and the carb days will be what causes you problems instead. (Thats how it is for me)

Sorry to be blunt, but you answered your own question Don't mind my dismissiveness, either -just cause I'm not a fan of keto doesn't mean it won't work for you. Are laxatives off the menu in keto? Metamucil? Prune juice? Well, yeah, I guess prune juice would be. Seriously tho, there's no reason you have to be stopped up just cause you're off the carbs.

Veggies, yeah. A good, cheap fiber supplement is psyllium husk powder. Tastes like ass-dirt, but I never had any problems squeezing out a turd.

Flax meal is low carb. Try adding ground flax seeds or flax meal to scrambled eggs. That's an easy way to get fiber without upping your carbs.

Yeah. Meat and fat isn't necessarily high in fiber. Trade some stuff out for fiber.

Greens... and a fiber supplement if necessary... Make sure on your carb days you get as much fiber out of you grace period, as well as digestible carbs.

Any whole or natural foods store will have flax in one form or another. Whether it be whole flaxseeds, ground flax, or flax meal. Farmer's markets might have it as well. I get mine from a local Amish market.

The body slows digestion because lipids take longer to break down than carbohydrates or protein, hence the reason for being constipated. Get those veggies in so you can keep your system moving.

Well whatever you find out, let me tell you, it works like a charm for me. Works real quick, too! I would try it. I can't remember whether it helps if I'm constipated though. I don't usually get constipated.

HBF, Are you trying to bulk? The first hour after I wake up I probably drop about four deuces. Again the coffee gets rounds 2 & 3 going, then round 4 when I get to the gym. And then 2 or 3 more times during the day. I'm a machine!

hillbillyfred this is a little off topic am not on keto but i go 2 to 3 times a day i think that's why i've quit tryin to gain weight an focus on liftin more I sh*t 3 times a day as well. Like clockwork. It depends on the consistency of your sh*t, but, one sign that you have excellent digestion is that you go around 30 minutes after each major meal. I think I read that if your digestion is really good you should be pushing out at least 12 inches of sh*t each day.
