Cottage cheese and Eggs - Saturday, December 01, 2007 5:07 AM
I thought this sounded NASTY when i first heard about it.  But then i thought about how cottage cheese is often used in lasagne and mac n cheese as a cheddar/mozeralla substitute.  I make some scrabled eggs and at the end add a little cottage cheese to the pan.  You have to experiment a little to get the amount of cottage cheese just right.  The end result is a delicious, cheesey, melty plate of cheesey scrambled eggs.  It even mocks the taste of mozerella a little bit.  Give it a try!!

That's the nastiest ****ing thing I ever heard! lol  I was raised Italian, and every recipe I've ever seen for lasagna calls for ricotta, not cottage cheese.  Cottage cheese has to be a "middigan" thing (Americano).

No, I mean cottage cheese in lasagna... cottage cheese is usually tangy, ricotta is sweet.

I like cottage cheese if it's really dry and thick, and tangy.
