Figured it was about time I made one. Training for freshie year jv football maybe runningback?Need to get some speed on me though.anyways maxes right now: bench:155 squat atg:185 deadlift:205 no really set goals but maybe bench:200 squat: 250 deadlift:300 trying to get these by june since football will have started and lifting will be harder then. Also my 40 time is currently 5.6 and I want to get it down to atleast 5.0 preferably 4.8, alot of work there but I figure track will help. Didn't lift today was off currently doing a 5x5 routine based off of multiple routines but basicly like SS or bill starr's.

added some weight to my workout today new 5rm's: Bench:120 Squat: 150 Deadlift: 175 gonna try to get 5 lb. higher on squats and deadlifts monday or friday whenever I get around to it hoping to add to bench in the next 3-4 workouts. Need to put some good strength and muscle on before new years because after that I'll be doing alot more cardio and starting in february or march through may I'll be doing ALOT of cardio. My bulking season is short because of track I may try and bulk some during track but it will be bad for my speed training. Hoping to be 145 by christmas and cut down to maybe 140.

had today off kinda just watched some football pretty lazy day. Had a pretty big and bad health wise dinner, got 2 chic-fil-a sandwiches no pickles large fries and mello yello, it helped me get close to my 3300 calories for the day though.

need to get a bunch more calories in today anyways had kindof a random/ heavy day. flat bench barx10 95x5 115x5 145x1 squats barx10 115x5 145x5x3 deadlifts barx10 135x5 155x5 180x5 185x5 leg curls 25x5 35x5 45x5 standing OH press 65x5x3 set new deadlift PR was 175 now 185 was just going for 180 then decided to also do 185. Felt weaker on bench did 155 a couple weeks ago. Since start of compitition 15 days ago put 5 lb. on bench 5 lb. on squat and 20 lb. on deadlift 5RM's. Know I can get 155 on squats probably gonna do it friday.

Keep up the good work Connelly, i see your name on here alot, and you sound dedicated, oh and dont worry to much about eating chic-fil-a, its cooked with better fats than other fast food places. I LOVE that place lol, might have to go get some today. Just stay away from the pop. Good luck man and keep up the good work.

oh word, i hate soda. i havnt had one in sooo long and i feel great. anyways keep it up connely, i started lifting weights my freshman year too in H.S. i had an awsome wrestling coach that put us on a great pyramid workout.

thanks gus. Anyways today my friend had me come to gold's gym with him and his dad so basicly this is what we did. Went to the lockers to put our stuff up, stretched in sona for 5-10 minutes then did cardio for 30 minutes. Then we did so many different exercises with barely any rest so I couldn't even get that much weight, we didn't do any compounds and we lifted for probably 45-60 minutes..Then we went back to sona and pool then got our stuff and left. It annoyed me because it's gonna screw me up for my workout tomorrow because i'm so sore and they had me doing cardio. Don't get me wrong cardio is good i mean I did track but i'm trying to bulk and I have a hard enough time getting enough calories as it is. Plus i'm trying to do sprints not distance. But anyways they want me to start coming back and possibly get a membership, I had a good time I just don't like working out with people who don't know about lifting.. I figure I will join since it has alot of things that can help but from now on i'm doing the lifts that I want to do. I know no one wanted to hear me complain but I figured my journal was the best place to do it.

ya man because of where i am and what i'm doing...afghanistan...i've gone through several workout partners. it came to the point where we have different goals. we still go to the gym at the same time, but have a completely different routine. its no problem though when i need a spot they have no problem helpin me out for a second. i got one guy on the same routine as me, but he wont do legs cause his knee hurts, but he would do upper body. sucks though because he is going on leave next month and not coming back to this base. when you go to golds with your buddy just do your normal workout and they do theirs. its not like you go to the gym to hang out right? lol

Are you in the service Kubla? And connelly, you seem to know a good deal about lifting for your age, so maybe you could help inform them on lifting, or option b get a membership at a golds and you'll find someone experienced there that would be willing to take you under their wing, ive gained a crapload of knowledge talking with experienced lifters at gyms ive been to, and those kinds of expiences are priceless.

And yah money I might have to do that at somepoint. Thanks guys, haha no worries Kubla about posting on my thread gives me something to do since i'm grounded ):
