Flat Bench
10xbar
5x95
5x115
5x120
5x125 <--Yah first time I got 125 5 times during a workout! (Not first time getting 125 5 times but first time doing it after 2 fairly heavy sets)
Close Grip Bench
65x8
75x8
80x8 <--First time getting 8 reps got 7 last two workouts, was acually easy gonna raise next workout.

Skipped Incline felt tired and worn out. Gonna keep it at 115-120-125 on bench for a few workouts, unless anyone thinks it would be better to do 120-125 then see how many reps I can do of 130? Gonna raise close grip 5 lb. Tomorrow I retry 165 lb. on squat and my highest set.

dont you love being able to add on more weight?!  i say push yourself and add on the extra 5 pounds to 130 on your bench.  i bet you can do it.  dont be afraid to use those 2.5 pound plates!  i swear sometimes its all in our heads...whats another 5 pounds??? you got it easy man!
i did my front squats today and i am really liking those better than back squats now, crazy huh LOL.  i still got the straps ditched and was able to increase 20 pounds.  i started out first set with 225 and kind of stood up too fast on first rep and was like WTF?!  my grip strenth increased quite a bit lol.  gotta get back up to 295 though, no straps >.<

Yah sometimes 5 lb. seems like alot though haha, but I guess i'll do 130 as my highest set and keep doing that for a few workouts until I get it and so on, I've always thought I would like front squats more but then I did them and hated them but alot of people like em, I need to work on grip strength myself that's what's holding my deads back another 25-30 lbs atleast.

Re:Connelly's Journal - Thursday, December 11, 2008 9:28 AM
Thanks man, yah I've heard from a friend that goes to gold's alot that he's seen some crazy stuff I wanna say he saw a 6 or 7 plate squat not to sure though. Anyways I've been grounded from computer so couldn't really get on till now been doing workouts as normal though here's mine from yesterday:
Deadlift
5x135
5x205
5x215 (didn't wanna try for two plates because I was feeling kinda tired would rather get 5 reps with a bit less weight, also used gloves on these but I think I could do it without gloves my grip is getting stronger)
Wide Grip Pullups
5xBW
5XBW
5XBW
Dumbbell Curls
8x20
8x20
8x20
Really stinks that I don't have more than 2 45's so I can't acually do 2 plates..Only have 300 lb. of weights including the bar at my house so hopefully it will hold me over till spring or summer workouts at school but even better if it doesn't hold me over (:

Close grip bench has gone up alot lately but I just started doing em but i like them. Gonna do 120-125-130 next workout and if I can get that go up to 125-130-135 on flat, yay doing 135 as my last set was my goal by christmas should be able to get there (: it's gonna be close though. Leg day today (and shoulders) made squat form a bit better so it dropped about 10 lb. going 135-145-155 for squats. Also calf raises and leg curls. Gonna workout with 60 on OH press to make sure form stays good. Just doin a layout of todays workout since I won't be able to get on today..

Re:Connelly's Journal - Friday, December 12, 2008 4:28 PM
Still haven't done workout for today yet but here is the plan for the next few months, continue what i'm doing through late janruary maybe till feb first no later, do another round of 5x5 maybe texas method depends on if I think i'm ready for it yet or not. But starting feb i'm going to be doing alot of running of various distances 100-800m mostly. Still trying to gain muscle mass although I may do a short cutting phaze so I won't completely suck for track, but then i'm back to getting bigger till april or may but then I need to cut for shirt taking off season (: Of course this will change some but the plans for the future i've made before have normaly looked alot like I thought so we'll have to see, off to do legs may or may not post about it tonight.

Last week i've made my squat form better too and dropped about 75lbs to do so.  i'm already almost  back up to what i was repping before for 4X8.  yesterday i started using my hips and it was great.  it does look like your going to get your goal easy man!
