Completely newbie to all of this - Monday, January 12, 2009 4:59 PM ( #1 )
Hi I'm James

I'm probably 6'0 now 126 lbs less than 10% body fat.

I find it incredibly hard to put on weight i have been the same weight for 4 years even thought my diet has no changed and my exercised has decreased. So this is why I'm here.

So as you can tell I'm pretty slim though no out of proportion due to the amount of athletics i used to do in school, used to be toned so so.

Any way I hope by my stats i would assume that I'm pretty much a blank canvas.

I have some weights and a sit up bench, will get a bench press if nessersary.

I would like to bulk up a bit to a noticeable degree also tone up, but i geuss any thing would be considering my size!

If some one could help me i would be very so greatful

6'0 126 lbs... that is extremely skinny and pretty unhealthy, that is in anorexic weights. dude just start eating as much as you can man, if you feel like your gonna throw up, well you might, but keep stuffing. i have a problem with it too

Google bulking foods.

And make sure that you are 100% ready for this

Eat about 3,000 Cal's a day. Evenly spread out (35% proteins - 35% carbs - 30% fats)

theres about 50,000 pages on this forum of what to eat so press the "search" option up top and search BULK. Read every post for the first 10 pages. That should give you an idea.

Here's the question of all questions. You say your still skinny. Do you eat 4-6 times a day?

work out at least 3 times a week? Full body, not just hit your bench for 10-20 minutes and call it a day.

Save up. Get yourself a gym membership. Do the following:

train your whole body
Legs (squats, lunges, leg extensions, leg curls, leg press, stiff-leg deadlift)
Shoulders (military press, side laterals, rear lat raise, upright row, shrugs)
Chest (bench press, flyes, dips)
Back (pull-ups, rows, deadlifts, lat pull-downs)
Biceps (barbell curls, dumbbell curls, preacher curls, hammer curls)
Triceps (overhead tricept extension, skull crusher, pressdown, kickbacks)
Abs (Crunches, reverse crunches, hanging leg raises, captains chair leg raise, bicycle maneuver)

Calf (standing calf press, seated calf press)

Eat at least 2,800-3,000 Cal's a day?

As Gun Ryo said. I hope your ready. It's gonna take years. A good chunk of your money. And be ready to make a whole new lifestyle.

Good luck,
Adam

For some reason I think it's gonna take more than 3,000 calories..
Goals by end of 2009:
Bench 205
Squat 255 ATG
Squat Clean 185

You need to get a bench, definitely.  Perhaps a power rack would be even more beneficial since you can preform dips, pullups, squats, and most importantly preform them safely.

Right now you seem to be having the same trouble I used to have, from age 12-16 I was 125lbs.  I am not as tall as you though at 5'8", perhaps it would be a good idea to list your diet.  If you're not eating enough foods to gain hypertrophy, you simply will not gain hypertrophy.
List your diet, we will assist you.  Afterwords, we will set you up with a good routine for packing on muscle mass.
