Competitions and Federations - Thursday, July 23, 2009 8:36 PM ( #1 )
Ok So ive become interested in powerlifting i live in kentucky and i plan possibly competeing next summer ill be about 17 so im wondering what federation or what not i should look into and how much should i be able to lift to have a chance? i hope to weigh about 195 for competitions and i only want RAW ones i was looking around but most of the sites arent either working or cant figure out anything from them.
219 weight trying to lower 217 now. 2 months later. lol.
250 bench
305 squat
345 deadlift

Dunno if WABL operates out in kentucky, but they do bench and deadlift comps and are operated really professionally, and put on really good meets.

jane the one kentucky site is from 2006 -.- and one doesnt even have a site the other does but its all west virginia and the last one is some forums and im pretty sure its not raw :/

nvm i think im not even gonna bother i keep looking around and it keeps looking harder and harder to be able to do #1 is all these places are 3+ hours away and i cant find a decent site and im not wearing spandex spandex is just too gay sorry.

i agree with the whole spandex thing. For some reason I never had a problem with it when wrestling but it just gets to me when in weightlifting comps. Guess they just want it like that for free movement and to make sure you aren't cheating.
