Competition around May-June 2005 - Thursday, June 24, 2004 4:51 AM
Hi Guys ! i want to participate on a bodybuilding competition around May or June of the next year. but, i dont know what to do now ..... im 156 lbs, maybe around 11-12% bf. I want to compete on the lightweight category (-154.9). I was at 160 maybe 4 weeks ago before i start a cutting cycle for the summer. But now, i should have to continue my cutting phase until end of july and start bulking ? or start bulking right now ? and how many weeks before the competition i have to start my final cutting diet ? if someone have good website about competition preparation, just let me know !
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 165 lbs
Bench: 225 lbs x 3
Barbell curl: 95 lbs x 8
Shoulder press: 150 lbs x 8
Leg press: 585 lbs x 5

I say counting cutting till around begining of August then start bulking and 12 weeks from the show start ur pre-contest diet!!! GOOD LUCK BRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried some of the search features? I know a few people have posted in this forum extensively on competitions?

Post some pics if you haven't already. I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice on what needs improvement- Plus, you can get feedback on your poses too.

Stop cutting, its sensless if your going to bulk after ward anyway, the only time you should ever cut is before a show, like 3 weeks. Then the last week watch your diet, drink less and less water each day, and 3 days before the contest, dont drink anything, at all. You'll probably cramp but hey, thats what bodybuilders go thu. Goodluck.
