After making a shake, is rinsing a blender out with hot water enough to clean it effectively?

Baking Soda bro!!! I lived in Tropical North Queensland once apona time and the HEAT stinks. I would feed my blender, eggs, mangos, protein powder, oatmeal, kiwifruit, flaxseed oil etc and the heat would just ruin the blender after a few weeks. Liitle bits of mould growing down there. Just make your shake, leave hot water in there for a few hours than clean it with soap and DRY IT STRAIGHT away.

Are you just mixing a shake I.E. protein powder + water/milk? If so I'd recommend getting a shaker cup with a blender ball. Hell I hardly even use my blender anymore since I started using mine.

I wash my blender out with hot water after every shake, and I'm still alive and kicking. I'll chuck it in the diswasher maybe once every couple weeks maybe, but I'm not really that concerned about it.

I drink my own urine, so after my shakes I usually just make a deposit in the blender and drink it down, it sterilizes it.

I think it really depends on your blender. Mine traps protein powder and **** so if I don't use soap it smells horrible the next morning. If it didn't, I would rarely wash it with soap.

1. Drink the shake. 2. Rinse out the blender. 3. Fill blender 1/4 with hot water. 4. Add couple drops of dish soap. 5. Run the blender on high for a few seconds to clean the blades. 6. Rinse out the blender. May seem like work, but it takes seconds to do and your machine stays bacteria free.

Haha Yet. overall i just rinse mine with hot water immediately and then put it in the dish washer. i pour some dish detergent in the mixer when i pour the hot water in so it doesnt smell and i always wash dishes every 3 days.
