Hello everyone, I have a question that is of great concern to me.... I recently began the NO2 supplement, however i also take Cialis. The bottle of cialis states not to use with any NITRATES. Respectively, the NO2 bottle says to consult your doctor if treated for ED... After some internet research i found that these two products work ALMOST the same(releasing Nitric Oxide gas)...but may cause an unsafe drop of blood pressure if combined together(Cialis and Nitrates). My concern is, should i stop using any of these products in conjuction with eachother? How harmful may it be? Thank you

Thanks Soccerking, However, Having to Consult my doctor was understood in the first place when i first read the bottle... Take the NO2 bottle and show it to your doctor, he wont be thrilled at the sight of it.....(As it has happened to me in Los Angeles twice) My point of this thread is not to get the obvious answer...but your opinions and possibly inform others as well in all good faith. Further, does anyone have any specific knowledge of this...or experienced any side-effects feasable to unsafe drop of blood pressure? How true can this be in your opinions?

well considering nitrix is a vascodilator i would be very weary of taking 2 of the same type of drug/chemical. If i was in your position i would get a hand held blood pressure meter and check your blood pressure regularly since it could cause a drastic blood pressure drop over time. You would at least see it coming. My personal thought would be don't take the nitrix, no doubt the cialis is going to do a much better job of increasing blood flow throughout any part of your body, as its much more potent of a chemical. Make sure though when lifting if you have any signs of light headiness or anything out of the ordinary sit down and elevate your legs above your head/heart if possible

i wouldn't risk your health just for getting that extra "pump" from the nitrates. if i were you.. i would decide. do you want to deal with ED and take the nitrates, or deal with having to lift without them (which is NO big deal) and also not have problems with ED. i'd just lift without them and enjoy the womenzzz

Thanks soccerking and SilverFox...I just spoke with ANOTHER physician over the phone and he told me basically NOT to take both(stressed it too). My next question was how long should i wait before i take one after the other. As his knowledge on the NO2 supplement was minimal to none, he didnt know what to answer me. However he did say, to at least wait 48-72 hours before consuming ANY NITRATE product...Until the cialis is completely gone from my system. Which seems reasonable. The doctor said i might get some of the effects of NO2 with Cialis and vice versa...increased blood flow, although he refrained from suggesting anything else besides NOT taking both together in at least a 48 hour basis. I take the NO2 according to the indications(3 in morning and 3 in the afternoon before meals). It has been almost 4 weeks i have been on NO2. Now, how long does this NO2 stay in your system before i can take Cialis again? all i know is that Cialis last approx 72 hours and not to induce any NITRATES in this period of time. Also, Cialis is NOT something i induce on a regular basis either. I might use cialis once every two weeks as i dont have severe ED, i just use Cialis to prolong an erection... I cant get any straight answer from doctors as most of them seem to "condemn" NO2, obviously from not knowing the specific product and its mechanism 100%. I find you all "BodyBuilders" much more knowledgable on this subject than what i find a physician would. I appreciate ALL your thoughts on this. I am not here portaying myself as an expert, i am just seeking thoughts and opinions and inform others...and i wont hold anyone responsible for any suggestions. Thank you ps: most likely as SilverFox said its all about making a deciscion...do i want the pump or the "hump"! I think i will stick with the "hump"...i got a wife to satisfy :) hehe

IMO, it just enlarges the muscles for a little bit and gives you a certain "look". but it always goes away. not worth it IMO. you should be just fine working out without it. and you can still enjoy sexi time with the wifey

I was looking for the "perpetual pump"...I must admit it works well even though I am only 4 weeks into it. I notice huge pumps throughout my workouts. However hours later I seem to have "shrunk" a bit. Thus making me feel i dont gain as much as i should. I will stick to Creatine, Glutamine and Protein shakes and I am currently planing to incorporate an HST program...I am looking to gain some mass, then later prepare to cut. I am currently at 155lbs with 5'9 height. My goal is 170 top... I am also trying to regulate, my calories, carbs and protein intake. Its a fustrating task but i know it is necessary for mass. I will be saying bye bye to the NO2. Perhaps starting now... Thank you for your responses, I GREATLY appreciate them...

Thank you for your responses, I GREATLY appreciate them... trust me. you don't need the NO. get some good creatine, and an HST routine.. and you'll pack on mass quickly.. provided you eat well of course. if you want to be 170 lbs of ripped muscle, you're probably going to have to bulk PAST 170.. maybe more like 180ish or more. when you cut, you will lose SOME size. 90% of it is usually from fat, and 10% is from muscle. hence the reason you bulk beyond your target zone. what's left over is the excess

Gotcha Buddy.... For the record...NO2 and Cialis IS NOT A GOOD IDEA! severe health risks may arise as understood. As far as my target weight, ill have to work up to 180ish...then cut...I think i am looking at a good 12 month run here....with plenty of food...gluttony here i come to embrace you lol. (i use the GNC creatine label product)
