Choices other than bulking??

hey fellows i jst came from vacation :) (care) anyways i have noticed that all the body builders in the region dont even know what "bulking is". they just intake proteins and get really big. when i told them that they have to eat carbs to get bigger they were like it takes a long time.. any comments? and what will happen if i get to eat lots of proteins and get whey protein, is it better than bulking?(talking about getting bigger)

"bulking" is just a generic term for taking in a caloric surplus to support building large amounts of muscle. It can be further refined as "clean" or "Dirty" bulking, to designate how reckless you get with the type of calories ingested. A typical "Clean" bulking phase would focus on getting a very exact (though not laughably excessive) caloric surplus from very strict food sources, to elicit lean mass increases slowly, with a keen eye on not gaining any fat in the process. A typical "Dirty" bulking phase is a lot less strict -for when you don't care if you pack on a little body fat in the process. What those bodybuilders fail to realize is that it takes more than just an obscene protein intake to get huge. Processing a truckload of calories every day triggers an entire endocrine cascade that keeps your body in growth mode. You need the support of a well-rounded diet to sustain lean mass gains, and that includes carbs and healthy fats. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that if you just guzzle gallons of whey protein, it will somehow be easier, because ironically, this can actually inhibit your growth.
