what are you asking? Taking supplements isnt cheating what so ever, for some people taking steroids isnt cheating either.

Alot of people just see supplements as something used to help the body from reversing its progress. I dont see see natural supplements like glutamine and creatine as cheating since you'd have to stop eating all together to avoid them. I asked a steroid user why he decided to use them and he told me he was only using them as a tool to get to the next level he couldnt get with regular supplements. He also said "Why use supplements that are hit and miss with success? Why not just take a supplement that you KNOW is gonna work?" direct quote right thur Soo, techniquly alot of people dont consider it cheating. What i consider cheating is when instead of dieting, cardio and learning the right way to do things, they go off and lose bodyfat through lipo and sh!t like that (if they NEED the surgery thats different.)

Can anyone justify why I , or you, should take any suppliments ? I used to view stuff like protein powder as cheating. Also creatine. Once I realized that it's natural stuff that you eat already, I didn't think it was cheating anymore. Steroids are most definitely cheating IMO though.

QFT, i completely agree, taking steroids and supplements is one thing, you STILL need to do the work and especially with steroids you need to be even better with your diet and training, its not like you take them and overnight you are huge... but with plastic surgery it is thats cheating

Eat a ton, drink your protein, and work your ass off in the gym. This is 2008, and it's that simple. If you're not gonna follow the basics, you won't grow , so dont bother with supps.......

And this is definitely more of an Out Of Bounds thing as it does not actually have to do with getting help with supplements, but discussing the ethics around them.

As mentioned.. a protein shake is not some magical formula.. If you can get your protein from food sources.. then that's always going to be best... You need to realize that there is a distinct difference between dietary supplements such as whey protein and Anabolic Steroids.. And by cheating..?? I'm assuming you're refering to cheating yourself.... quote:

Jack x Yeah, using any supplement is never an excuse to not have your diet down and the correct training. People dont understand that supplements wont do anything for you unless you are eating and working out correctly, otherwise they are a waste.

I agree with what someone said earlier on. For one to get lipo, stuff themselves with diet pills and starve should be considered cheating(well I guess in a way they are cheating themselves, cause its extremely unhealthy the way alot of people lose weight). For one to supplement with protein, creatine and other things excluding steroids, it definitely shouldn't be considered cheating in anyway. Of course whole foods would be better than drinking several shakes a day and to some it's just not possible to get whole meals in, so in another sense its there for convenience. But like Soccer said, diet and excercise make up the vast majority of it. Supplementing definitely helps and it is in no way cheating. Thats my view.
