Chat room

Me and other people were thinking of a chat room so people could talk to each other more easier. Then going back and forth checking inbox seeing if they sent you a msg.

yea andy's right. It would be so much easier if all the people that were online could just enter one chatroom and talk instead of all of us having to go back and forth to our message boxes. I think we should have a chatroom too.

im all for it. im on this site if im not in school, with friends,lifting, or sports lol. itd be nice to talk to people in the chat.

im in 11th. (junior for those of you illiterate). yea i was in gahana with one of my friends a couple weekends ago. he used to live there. hes from fairbanks though lol. we went to the mall there and he looked for someone he was supposed to fight lol. my grandpa used to live there. h lives in a condo now. it still might be gahana i dun know.

well, most of us have AIM, why dont we just make a link on the front page to a designated public chatroom,,, entitled : DISCUSS BB

something simple as that, that way we can say, okay, well the moderator will be available from 6-8 pm to talk to about any questions... and in any case it would be easier to talk p2p and also p2s, just my idea, and also if it was a place like that, you could just check around, it would not have to be exactly on the site, no cost, people wouldnt always check there, and we could host meetings. I think it would work, if you want to argue i will fight this idea to the death, so bring all your horses and all your men

Hey i live in clermont county ohio.  close to cincinnati i guess.  just had to say it.

It seems to me that chat rooms can easily be a platform that would invite future trolls into the main body of the forum (speaking of which I have a feel a troll has already stopped by on a quick hit-and-run), which would be a real pain in the ass. Like coyotes, trolls often travel in packs.

Yes, but there is still the dangers inherent with chat rooms in general. Plus, the wider you spread the subject matter of the forum's coverage, the wider the demographic becomes.

A chat room opens a forum wide out for anybody to drift in. Once the problem poster is booted out of the chat room, he may head into the forum's main body to find the people he was just chatting with. The beauty of this forum is that it has a strong focus on bodybuilding and physical training. Open the doors to the world and you soon find that the moderators are too busy dealing with trolls and bull**** to contribute in any other way, and the mood changes throughout, along with the vibe and atmosphere that make this place so great to hang out at.

Right now, anybody can ask any question and know that he/she will get an honest, knowledgeable answer without ridicule or harassment. Bring in the smartasses and the bored kids (no offense, but over 95% of trolls are under the age of 25) looking to start a flame war.

This forum is already growing fast enough with people who are here for the primary subject matter. A chat room, in my opinion, reduces the credibility of any forum that specializes in a singular, dedicated subject. I would hate to see that here, especially when there are so many other ways available to bull**** about the weather.
