ha it was 20 degrees out when we did that, my hands felt like they were gonna fall off after the tire flippin.  No snow though, you can see the ground is frozen in the tire flip vid.

Wow dude! That is hard some hardcore training right there. 31 flips? I've done like 6 or 7 lol. They're even harder than they look because you have to ALL the way to the ground to start the lift. Nicely done

Thanks man!  I want to get to 40 now before contest time, I have a feeling it will be a lot easier without a frozen tire and cold air filling my lungs. 

Those tire flips are a workout and a half though, they leave my arms scraped and bruised every time.  I'm just glad I have one to practice with.

so i went to the gym today, and couldnt stay away from the weights LOL.  wanted to let the people there know whats up if u know what i mean LOL.  anyways, come to find out theres a comp next week!!  its nothin big at all, just a 1000lb club thing, which is going to be VERY easy for me LOL.

yeah, the few times ive done them they scraped the crap out of my forearms. Also, since it isnt like gripping a bar, it made my forearm muscles hurt from pulling so much weight with such a crappy grip

Thanks man!  Its hard to imagine more of a total body workout but yea pushing that jeep will tax me to my limits.

Kubs- I'm just gonna keep doing what i'm doing.  It is funny, I missed my goal lift today (320) and yet I still feel it was one of my best ever benching days, everything felt great, even the miss.  So I'll have my speed day on monday and then hit it heavy again on thursday or friday and I know I will put this weight up soon.

So I decided I'm going to try out Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 routine for a while so I have some structure to go off of.  I'm doing too much guesswork and it'll be nice to have actual numbers to shoot for.

The basis of the routine is basically working up to a 5 rep max the first week, a 3 rep max the next week, a one rep max the week after that and a deload 70% x 6 in the final week.  

The percentages will be as follows, the starting max weight should be your max - 10% so you don't burn out:

Wave 1. Warmup, 65%x5, 75%x5, 85%x5
Wave 2. Warmup, 70%x3, 80%x3, 90%x3
Wave 3. Warmup, 75%x5, 85%x3, 95%x1
Wave 4 (optional). Warmup, 60%x5, 65%x5, 70%x5

Started with squat day today

Squat Wave 1, projected underestimated max - 315lbs

ha I know, I might have some DOMS later from the squatting and bball.  I feel fine now though.  I think I'm finally getting my squat form up to par, I'm more flexible now and more confident, so I should see some good increases.
