Cardio when bulking?

How many of you guys do cardio even when your bulking? I'm an extreme ectomorph so its hard for me to gain fat so I never really had to do cardio. Lately tho I've been gaining a lot if weight as I'm making my diet a little dirtier and ancorporating a lot more calories. I was wondering the best time for me to do cardio to promote fat loss but not effect my gains. I have a treadmill at my house so I was thinking then because isnt that the optimal time for fat burning? Also should I be doing like only 15-20 minutes or like 45 minutes..and should the speed be consistnely changing? And it would only burn about 300 calroies extra so it shouldnt really stop me from gaining weight right? Thanks in advance...sorry I'm new to cardio and all this stuff because I've been a bone my whole life.

Yeah, I would and I do. But I'm not currently bulking. But anyways, yes you can and it'll help. Just make sure your dirty diet still has plenty of protein. PLENTY. The idea is based on heart rate. Your heart rate should be max or close to max for 15-20 minutes. I would never ever do 45 minutes of cardio unless your trying to cut weight. Having that treadmill at home is very convenient too. I would lift during the afternoon and cardio at night. But thats just me. I'd rather sprint outside when its nice, but during the winter I do interval type stuff on the treadmill. 8.0 mph for like 4-5 min then take it up to 10.5 for pretty much as long as i can. Take it back down to 8 to recover some and do it again. Or slowly build it like .5 at a time every 1 or 2 min. BBBUUTTTT, I just now read that you've been a bone your whole life. MY fault. I wouldnt worry about cardio too much then. Just wait and see your results after bulking. But if you do choose to run. Thats what I would do.

You should, IMO, perform cardio when bulking. The benefits it brings to your heart, lungs, blood circulation, and vital organs is superior. Just make up through foods for the lost calories.

Ok..I'm going to start doing 15 minutes of high pace jogging/sprinting every morning when I wake up. It only should burn 100 or 200 calories tops so it shouldnt really be a problem in making it up. I guess I always just associated cardio w/ weight loss in the past. Plus it will probably help me gain an appetite for breakfast. Thanks guys.

Appetite for breakfast? I am always starving when I wake up, even during bulking when I am eating a lot regularly.

Just some food for thought, its not just the initial cardio that burns calories, your heart rate stays elevated for awhile and your metabolism will be raised for quite some time, I dont really know the exact theory behind it, so ill just stop there... haha anyway, I asked a similar question about a week ago and im sticking with 3-4 days of cardio while bulking. After my workouts and once or so in the morning through out the week. 1-2 days of HIIT with the rest steady cardio. but to answer the innitial question I would stick to the 15-20 range especially in the mornings and after workouts, your glycogen levels are already low/depleted. packers4 Ok..I'm going to start doing 15 minutes of high pace jogging/sprinting every morning when I wake up.
