Cardio Timing On The Night Shift

Cardio Timing On The Night Shift - Thursday, September 06, 2007 12:40 AM ( #1 )
Hi All,

I work a night shift 4PM to 12AM and I'm trying to plan my cardio for the best results. I want to do 2 hours of cardio a day to try and get my 16% fat down to something in the 10% range. Is it better to do the 2 hours of cardio in the morning before I go to work or do one hour in the morning and then another hour when I get off work? I guess my more direct question is will there be any benefit of doing a 2nd round of cardio at 1AM if I go to sleep at 3AM? I read somewhere that the metabolism shuts down during sleep so I don't know if that will cancel out the effects or if I will continue to burn during my sleep? Thanks.
