 Cant workout for awhile...Help.

Cant workout for awhile...Help. - Thursday, September 15, 2005 7:34 AM
I just got a gum grafting done, so i cant eat solid food for a week,then i can gradually get back into it...And also i cant to any exercise for a week(maybe more depending if its healing good), So what can i eat? if i dont have my protein n stuff ill probably lose muscle HELP I DONT WANNA LOSE MUSCLE :(

a week isnt enough to lose muscle
 
In fact one weeks rest every other month is sometimes good for the body.
 
For the meantime just stock up on protein supplements and weight gainer and eat them like theres no tommorow lol

I have a weight gainer i can drink,but,wont i get fat by not excersising and drinking this?

ehhh not nessecarily, weight gainer supplements from what i know are packed with protein and calories, if you only eat little of it, itl give you enough protein and calories to keep your muscles maintained, while not allowing any actual weight gain, dont eat the stuff like its candy though obviously lol.
 
I wouldnt worry about 1 week, the worst that can happen is a slight decrease in strength which by the next week should have gone

My mom just bought me some ENSURE meal replacement drinks, only 6, and some other soft foods like oatmeal. Cant wait till i can start working out again, i feel so weak when i dont workout lol.

You may feel weak and such but you won't loss anything in a week.

I'd say 2 months or so, you are looking at some muscle loss.  I take a week off every 8-10 weeks and come back stronger.  I recently injuried my back and took 2 weeks off.

Didn't lose anything except well.... I missed working out.  And I 'felt' weaker.

i hate not working out, its just as a wierd feeling, there are a few posts about missing workouts, good luck with your gums, pretty soon i have to get implants in my two bottom front teeth they are still baby teeth,
if you're cup's already full then its bound to overflow

For some reason when im scared i lost muscle i look in the mirror and to me it appears i have...I guess its just phycological, i think i have so it looks like a have i guess to myself lol. But ur probably right a week is nothin, but i love the pump feelings after workin out, thats what i miss the most lol.
