Ok so this diet is not for me its for my little brother. Hes only 11 but weighs around 70 kg. Hes always had a bit of extra baggage since he was a few months old but in the last 6 months he put on 5 kg and its about time to do something. Hes about 4 ft 11 in height and doesnt exercise alot. Could some recommend a diet to help the situation and maybe some exercise also, we have access to a cross-trainer maybe some light exercise on that?? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys Thanks!

If your brother is 11, I doubt he's going to have time and effort to abide by a strict designed diet. None the less, if he is interested in losing weight get him to get out of the house more and participate in more calorie burning activities - get him to ride bicycles, play sports, go hiking in the woods, get him out of his house. As far as his nutrition goes, just get him in the habit of eating cleaner foods. Get him to eat chicken, veggies, fruits, good cereals, drinking more water, less soda, etc. Maybe even talk him into working out and lifting weights (of course not heavy, but just enough to get in participating activities).

Don't put a young kid like that on a diet... yeah sure, cut the candy, cokes, and cupcakes, but don't do a diet. Make the kid go out and exercise. since your using the metric system, i assume you guys are in a football/soccer playing nation. make him go out and play. Just get the EXTRA baggae off him by making him eat clean grains, proteins, and fruit/veggies. 1 hour of exercise. If you do this, he'll drop a lot, but he'll still b kinda chubby. When he reaches around 13, THEn you can safely put him on a diet.

I think it's cool that you are so concerned about your little bro! :) I would bet he really looks up to you and would probably love spending time doing active things with you. Of course I have a little brother and know how love/hate the relationship can be. But what a perfect opportunity to both help your brother out and at the same time be able to be closer to him! You both win!
