Can orgams get in the way of bodybuilding?

Well I hope this is alright to ask. I am seriously wondering though. I work out every other day and such, but see my gf about everyday. Me and my gf do "stuff" which involve ending in an orgasm. Now I know when a male ograsms he loses a lot of testosterone, correct? Isn't testosterone needed for muscle gain? My question is, can I still have an orgasm on the same day I workout and still gain the same amount of muscle as if I didn't do "stuff" with my gf? Wow this kinda sounds innapropriate, sorry, but I am willing to bet others have been wondering this too. --- Age: 15 Height: 6'3" Weight: 175 lbs. Body fat percentage: 4.6

No I don't think so... its more like losing body fluid such as blood and causes you to feel tired and hungry. But it wont affect your hormone patterns enough to stun muscle growth. At least this is what I was told in the military... had some body builders on board and thats what they said... they were pretty damn big too... But they are not doctors so I would get a second opinion.

shouldn't affect you that much I mean some of the biggest guys I know get around daily and they seem fine so I dnt think it does, your testosterone levels shoud naturally replenish i think.

i have always thought that it might actually raise them or make you produce more on a natural basis based on the fact that you body is used to releasing some it would produce more i don't know just an idea does that make sense to anyone else

well you guys are right that testosterone is produces in the testicles. however sperm does not make testosterone. sertoli cells produce seamen (sperm is seamen with fluid). its Cells of Leydig that produce and secrete testosterone. once the testosterone is secreted then its placed into the blood stream and does its thing. sperm does have alot of protiens and amino acids and stuff, but your talking about ~a teaspoon of fluid and theirs not alot of protien packed into that.

ORIGINAL: The_Ancient_Young My question is, can I still have an orgasm on the same day I workout and still gain the same amount of muscle as if I didn't do "stuff" with my gf? Yes. Yes, you can. Except if you orgasm pretty much right before your workout, you could feel more tired and less energetic. Other than that, it's not gonna make a difference to your gains. And a 4.6 bodyfat percentage IS NOT HEALTHY! You're prone to injury, that's why most bodybuilders keep to 8% bodyfat. They only cut to 5-6% bf for competitions, then they stack that bf back up because they're well aware of the fact that it could be dangerous.

I haven't actually checked this forum thread in a while but yeah I am just cursed with an abnormally thin bone structure besides lacking certain body parts that are needed to produce/make enough fat to be healthy, though my coach told me that If I eat around 4000 calories a day I should pack on some healthy weight and body fat. It seems like he's right too cuz I just gained 10 pounds pretty quick when I doubled my calorie intake ( well I didnt go right from 2000 to 4000, I kinda worked my way up day by day then peaked at 4k) but yeah I know it's kinda an odd question to ask but: What's a good way to "up" my body fat percentage to maybe like 8-12%?? and yeah I talked to a doctor and it's true that orgasms do help balance out hormonal levels in you. So if you find yourself acting more horny that usual, you know what to do haha

Hormones control your mood and are effected by the mood your in. If you are happier your test will be higher so, orgasms and enjoying yourself with a women will raise test. For the few hours following your orgasm test will be lower so not a good idea for preworkout warm up, your test levels could stay low until the next morning depending on how many rounds you and your girlfriend go in one night. If it did efffect your gains do you really care enough to give it up anyway? I sure wouldn't your body doesn't realease test after an orgasm but it does release melatonin which is the sleepy hormone and is why you don't mind cuddling after or don't know your cuddling.
