I would go with Cytogainer if you are looking for solely a post workout whey product; however, if you are in search of a high quality casein product that also combines whey protein isolates and a few concentrates, then I would look Sustain's way.  Sustain is perfect for in between meals or right before bed due to being a primarily high quality casein protein.  Sustain also mixes quite well for a casein and tastes great too.

cyto gainer is a good suppliment but things to consider when buying cyto vs. Muscle milk are:

cyto gainer has 54g of protien. - the body can only process 32g in one sitting.

if you want a weight gein and your looking at the caloric aspect- cyto with water is 580cal., muscle milk is 640 with milk..

i currently use cyto and like it but from now on im just going to save my money and go with just MM istead of both..

EvoPro. Higher casein content and less sugars than MM with the same great taste. Also made by Cytosport. You can buy it really cheap at www.massnutrition.com. It's about $23 I think.

Cytogainer is a weight gainer while MM and Evopro are protein powders. Different supps for different goals.

there is no one standard to what the body can and can't absorb at one time.  there are far too many variables to make a blind statement like that.  you have to factor in size, weight, metabolism, when their last meal was, etc.  so you're saying that a 300lb football player and a 145lb chess team member both have the same basal protein synthesis? i dont think so.....

whats your goal...if your looking to pack on serious pounds...cytrogainer.
if your not looking for a bulk that strong, go with MM.
also..whats your caloric needs for the day and how will this fit into there?
you only look as good as you feel

Cytogainer is 860 cals with 2 cups 2% milk (4 scoops of "Da Glue").

3 Negative aspects I see with CytoGainer to look at:

1: HIGH in Cholesterol
2: HIGH in Sat. Fat
3: Best tasting stuff out there BUT its still like drinking a bucket of elmers glue.  If you take it 3x a day like I do, lets just say your not looking forward to slamming down 20+ ounces of dreamy Cyto. :P

first off, you shouldnt be taking full servings of cyto 2 times a day.  its a supplement, thats it.  you cant replace half your meals and get the same results.  also, take the milk out to cut down on cholesterol and replace it with water which makes it much less thick.

also, MM has way more sat fat than cytogainer.
