Hi there, was wodering if anybody knows where i can get hold of some second hand dumbells, i am looking for a pair of 40kg's and a pair of 45's, the best quote i have for these second hand is £180, new £335!!! i did not really want to spend this much, but realise that fixed dumbells are expensive. Does any 1 have any links to any stores that might do me a better deal, as theres nothing on ebay! bbear in mind i live in the uk. thanks. wood

Why don't you buy the dumbbell bars, and add the cast iron plates? It is alot cheaper, and you can use so many weight variations.

Try craigslist.org. It's a site where you can list pretty much anything in your local area. There are always a lot of people selling exercise equipment because it's the kind of thing that most people buy and never use, so you might get a great deal.
