Bursitis in left arm

I'm having some pain in my left arm the last couple days I've lifted. About 6 months ago I had the same pain, but more severe, and it was diagnosed as bursitis. They told me it often happens from trying to up weights too fast. I stopped lifting, went through physical therapy and it was fine for a while. Now it seems to be coming back. I really don't want to have to quit lifting again (although I am cutting right now, so I can hold back). Anybody have any suggestions as to what to do?? If I drop my weights and take it easy, should I still be able to lift and not have an issue??

Bursitis sucks. Plain and simple. BUT i dont think ive ever/very rarely heard of buritis in the elbow... Go see your doctor. Get some anti-inflamm meds. Make sure you Ice your elbow regularly. By now you should have an idea of what kinda weight makes your elbow blow up with pain - work within your limitations. If you stop lifting so intensely you should still be ease back into it. Listen to your body... if it starts to feel uncomfortable then stop immediately. The most important theurepeutic agent is REST.
