Broken Forearm - Tuesday, May 30, 2006 10:17 AM ( #1 )
Saturday morning i broke my fore arm being a dumb ass.   I spent 3 days in the hospital and they performed surgery on my arm.  It took 3 hours to reconstruct my right fore arm.  I now have 3 metal plates in my arm and 5 pins.  I really screwed up my summer.  A fractured clavicle and now a broken arm in only 2 months!  I never even broke a bone in my life untill this year!!!  One of the bones in my forearm twisted and the other one snapped in half and slid furter down my arm leaving my wrist disconnected.  My friends dad said it's probably just jammed and i sat there with a bag of peas on my arm watching t.v.....  I'm so stupid...

OUCH!  Will your arm be ok?  Sorry to hear about that.

Of course, now you have to tell us HOW you did that.  Sounds brutal!

Well I broke my Forearm and wrist wrecking my friends moped.  We were riding it the day before and the next morning we were being more and more stupid.  I was going full speed on it on a sharp turn my back tire got the edge of the grass and it turned siedways and sent me flying 60 feet forward like superman.  I caught myself with my right arm mainly and my left.  Snaping my right arm in several places and my left one has hurt ever since.  After I caught myself with my arms I kind of tumbled forward and slid on my back and got a little bit of roadrash.  ( thank god I was wearing a shirt.

The mopeds body got cracked in a few places and somehow the frame of the front wheel got bent up and its like at a 130 degree angle.  I then had to drag it back to my friends house almost half a mile.

Doctor said it can take up to 6 months to get full movement in my wrist.  God I'm retarded.

Oh man, that was serious.  I'm glad that you weren't hurt more than you were.  Cracked moped bodies.  Luckily, your head wasn't cracked!   But you've probably heard all that already!!  Ugh.

Take care of yourself during this time.  Eat right.  Do some bodyweight exercises for your legs to help keep things in shape.  Maybe some cardio.  Read up on moped body repair . . .
