You can do it fairly accurately with just a fabric tape measure and a set of scales. Using the tape measure to find size of various parts of your body, combined with your height and weight, then input that into an online calculator and it will give you a result. If you want to be more accurate check out some measuring callipers.

callipers arn't very arcute. i use a electronic body fat Analyzer, that i bought off ebay. i put in my height, weight, age, gender and soemthing else. i put both thumbs on it and it sends an electric single threw one arm and into the next arm. using the time that takes combined with age, gender, ect. it turns out to be a fairly acuture measure of body fat so long as you use it at the same time, drink about the same amount of water and use it over time. i've had it for nearly a year and i'd say its pretty good for what i want and it was cheap. also you can buy callipers on ebay as well. the more arcute way to check your body fat is where you weight you on a scale, and take measurments then dunk you into a water bath and measure your water weight. thiers also a really expensive verson that is super arcutre where they also measure your bone density, i can't recall the name off hand.
