Hi Bizco.. welcome to DB!

First... glad to see you are building a foundation.

Second, glad to know your nutrition needs work. You can find some good journals in other posts people have made as to what they are eating. Leslie, one of the moderators, has also made comments in their threads that you may find interesting.

Third, and this is my un-doctor like opinion.. You want to gain muscle? Forget the cardio until you are ready to cut. That is from a bodybuilding perspective. Not health.

Healthy answer would be.. yes.. exercise your heart. But if you want to gain, you can' t add in an activity that boosts your metabolism too high and burns too much so that you can' t gain weight.

If you want to do cardio, do it like 2x a week, 30 minutes max...

Fourth, the supplement question. At this point.. just EAT. And eat a lot and eat clean. Then when you get a job.. get protein in there.. and creatine (if you will be a creatine responder). Those 2 supplements have a lot of good research behind them and are reasonably priced. But for now.. EAT.

Hope this helps. Please update your journal as appropriate. It will help to further critique what you goals you are moving towards.

I' d make comments on your nutrition but I think you already know it' s pretty bad. Still really glad you posted it.. helps you to see that you know it needs work.

Good job!

Well, sure I could, but that is when I graduate :\ I turn 18 about 5 days before I graduate... that was the reasoning behind that..

Its not bad to have long term goals. But to help keep you going in getting there, short term goals can serve as marks as to whether or not you are running on schedule.

We are here to help. It sounds like you just need to eat more.....of the good things like MDA1125 says. At your age, with a fast metabolism, you are blessed. Make the most of it and eat up!

Congratulations on the job! Protein and Creatine are the two biggies to get. You'll see some results with those.

Sounds like you've got a good plan going.

I think by the 3rd week or so of Max-OT, you'll really get a feel for it.

Glad to hear there's no injuries yet. Keep the form strict, use a spotter if you need to.. and lift heavy but within reason.

quote:

Going to try MAX-OT now.. and sticking with it no matter what anybody says :P

I wish I had that line from the book I'm reading. But basically, do what you gotta do.. if you see results from Max-OT.. who cares what Joe thinks. If you don't, it's just a program, not THE program. Find another.

I think within a month you'll see some differences. In fact, you already stated you feel stronger. That is great!

C-ya around when you give an update. Smile

I bought some Muscle Milk by Cytosport... hopefully it is good and I was not just sold off by the person at the GNC :\

Also, is Celltech Creatine worth trying? My friend relies on that stuff..

Looks good.. the V12, I might buy some next friday when I get paid...

I just got about 12 cans of some Met-Rx Protein Shakes in a can form for free from my friend from work... trying them out since they were free, 25 grams of protein in each can supposedly, casein and milk protein, and lots of other junk...

This along with a serving of Muscle Milk by Cytosport after working out, and I have been getting a good 4-5 meals in a day... hopefully I will see some good gains! :)

Muscle Milk tastes pretty darn good. V12 will last you the 8 weeks you need to be on it. I only took 1 serving a day. And I did notice a difference. And now that I'm cycled off for a month, I really notice the difference.

Make sure you are eating. Eating right and eating plenty.

If you haven't checked it.. look in the Critique My Physique forum for Supremefresh. He posted some pictures. It's called, What a Difference 7 Months Can Make.
