Bigger Faster Stronger - Saturday, January 24, 2009 9:30 AM ( #1 )
Well i'm swiching up even though i've only been on texas for 3-4 weeks so that I can better fit cardio in my life to get ready for track. So i'm doing BFS which is just a guidline of the main compounds and you can add your own auxilory (spelling?) lifts. So this is it:
week 1: 3x3
week 2: 3x5
week 3: 5-3-1
Week 4: 10-8-6/4-4-2 (wednesday workout is 4-4-2 monday and friday is 10-8-6)
Then repeat.
All auxilory lifts are 2x8 (I think i'm going to change to 3x8).
Monday
Squat
Bench Press
OH Press
Leg Curls
Bench Dips

Wednesday
Deadlift
Power Cleans
Rows
Wide Grip Chin Ups
Shrugs

Friday
Front squat (or other type of squat)
DB/BB Bench Press
Close Grip Bench Press
BB/DB Curls

Running drills will be tuesday and thursday, saturday or sunday I will be doing a longer distance run.

nice! i like how you have your main compounds first.  one thing i would change is on monday do squats first.  trust me, it will warm up your whole body for the rest of your workout.

Our football coach had us on BFS in high school.

You didnt have to change programs though, you could have simply added cardio to TM. Not really sure what your changing your lifting routine for when its different from cardio.

Its been so long since I ever did that routine, and I didnt know anything back then and neither did our coaches. I will say this, the BFS cardio is pretty killer...

good luck man

Well with Texas the friday's intensity day just doesn't seem easy to do with cardio..I mean I know I didn't have to change programs it just seemed better for the time being.
