How many times can you exercise this muscle a week. Can you lift everyday or should you do it every other day?

Once per week is sufficient.

Yep, once a week is all I do- Although I know people who do every muscle group twice a week- I haven't seen any more gains in those people than I have seen in myself though. Keep this in mind when thinking about how often to exercise ANY muscle group- Muscle grows while you're resting, not while you're lifting. The idea is to hit that muscle group as hard as you can and then leave it alone until the next time you're scheduled to work it out. I do arms on Fridays, for example, giving my bi's and tri's a full week to recover- Since starting that program (Max OT) I have seen great gains, and the amount of weight I can lift has increased steadily. Like I said, I know people who work each muscle group twice a week, but any more than that sounds like overtraining to me- You'll hardly see any results if you overtrain.

I do them twice per week. I do a 4 day split, alternating upper body & lower body.
