Bicep Tendonitis

Anyone had this before? I found out a couple days ago that the pain in my left arm looks like tendonitis and I'm just looking to hear some people's stories who may have had it. I read the post at the top of the forum, but I'm wondering if anyone has personal experience with it. How long before you started lifting again? What kind of treatment did they give you? What have you done to make sure it didn't happen again? I'm really bummed out because I just set a up a new program and diet plan to add some impact muscle over the next few months, and now it looks like I'm sidelined. Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

I have had bicep tendonitis, and was off for 6 weeks with physio, and then started lifting light weights for 2months or so while i built up the weight again. I aggrevated it again 2 weeks back, (mild condition though) and have not done bi's since, but this time its more lower, and through the top part of my forearm. I will start light bi's up next week and see what happens. I have just been icing it after i worked out the rest of my body.
