Bi Size - Tuesday, November 22, 2005 7:51 AM
I really train my arms hard twice a week really hard. I do a strength workout and a more rep based workout. I have been doing this workout and have noticed very little. Heres what I do.
Workout 1
Strait BB curl-4x10-15
Preacher curl-4x10-15
Conc. Curl-4x10-15
Hammer Curl-4x10-15

Workout 2
Strait BB curl-4x5
Preacher curl-4x5
Forearm Curl-4x5
Conc.-4x5

Any suggestions?

I am having trouble too. When I do my bicep exercises like bicep curls and concentration curls, I only feel it in my forearms and shoulders, and I have started to look really stupid coz I have shoulders and forearms that are 1 inch bigger that the bicep in the middle of them.

I hate it it pisses me off. I work out like hardcore on my biceps... and I gain nothing. My arms are seriously dead. I can barely lift them when I do them. But nothing shows. I mean im not one of those guys to change my nutrional intake to just gain biceps, but I need some bis.

Try close grip chin ups, and make sure you let your arms stretch all the way down so it kind of feel like your stretching your biceps. Don't have a set number in mind when you start, if you really want biceps I want you to go till you can't anymore. By that I mean you actually try to get that last rep up, get somewhere around halfway up, with your whole body shaking and trembling, until you have nothing lift to give. Then you end the set. I'd do 3 sets of these.

Also, make sure you're lifting heavy on your back days with things like Deadlifts and Dumbell Rows,  I've got decent sized biceps and I find that often my biceps are more sore after a hard back day than by anything I can get with an arm day.
