Best time to workout

Hey, i was thinking wouldent the best time to workout is right before bed? workout, eat, then rest? resting is when ur muscles heal, so wouldent that be the best time? right after u workout and eat.

I usually do my cardio in the morning and weights in the afternoon. I don't think it really matters, but in the mornin I'm guessing you'd have more energy.

no, your test levels are highest right in the morning, the best time to lift is in the morning.

I disagree, your test levels are the highest at night while you are sleeping. Obviously you cant workout while you sleep. As far as morning or night it all depends on you personally. Your body is the warmest at night, but you have more energy in the morning. As you have had a good amount of rest to recover from the previous day. So there is a trade off to everything. Just find what works best for you.

I can't workout right before bed. Lifting heavy gets me wired worse than three double espressos I've tried that many times and ended up tossing and turning for hours. However, I've heard it said that cardio in the morning revvs up your appetite for the entire day. I would think if you were trying to cut, that would be counterproductive.
Yes, that's me in my avatar, and NO, I don't look like that today. That was taken back in Jan '07, and I lost most of that progress when I slacked off last year. I'm on my way back, tho, and I'm using that photo for inspiration.
