Hey Guys!

What is the best time to take my creatine & glutamine...? Before, or after a workout? or maybe in the middle?

Standard formulas for Creatine:5g Dose

Option #1:

Take 5g 30 minutes before you workout

Option #2:

Take 5g after you workout

Option #3

Take 2.5g before you workout
Take 2.5g after you workout

This option is recommended by AST

Glutamine.. just take 5g.. 3x a day.. that isn't as specific.

Summary:

Experienment. AST says it's best to take before and then after.. I tried that. I've taken before. I've taken after.. I've taken the morning of. All I know is that I respond to Creatine in general and notice the strength increases whenever I take it.

Follow MDA's advice above... he's pretty much right on. Taking Creatine before or after your workouts does not make a difference... just as long as you take it around that time.

Glutamine 5g 3x per day? I have to disagree. Every study I've read says more then 10g of glutamine a day yields no better results. So stick to 10g (save yourself the money). Either take all 10g 30 minutes before your workout, or take 5g before your workout and 5g 12 hours later.
