just what the subject asks...What do people think is the best ephedrine-free thermogenic? People can say what they want...but I will not take ephedra anymore for any reason, there is a reason it' s about to be pulled off shelves!

Which makes my responses all the more appropriate. Perpetuating garbage like this all over the internet. Ridiculous, really.

I didn' t post crap at IM. But I will admit to a little 100% copy & paste. 1) I' m guilty of that. Next time I' ll just give credit. Fine. Lesson learned. 2) Interesting that IM had like 300 responses to the post and it started a politicial debate and such. Nobody answered the guy. I was just curious to see if anybody on this board would just answer the damn question. We know 2 things from this thread. 1) That I copied it. And that isn' t cool. 2) People here just answered it. Didn' t even bother asking why or reasons. Maybe they should. But the second post was an answer or opinion. While I agree that post itself was misleading, and really enticed a response (a kind of verbal challenge) it was poorly worded. I would also agree that it kinda gives me the same feeling as SARS. Media scare tactics without any reason of why he won' t take it. It seems in the IM thread, that was discussed. But only after several posts of bashing. I' m happy on this forum. It seems to have few membes. Meaning less bullcrap like the other posting trolls that whore the boards. I want to keep it that way. Next time I will be more careful in using another' s post. It was irresponsible. Point taken.

I appreciate your honesty, as well as you recognition that proliferating such fallacies and scare tactics is a bad idea. Thank you. That is something the other poster never did. I do agree that some got out of hand with their comments about the guy, I do not think mine ever did. Since you have been forthright, I' ll take a stab at your question. First, I don' t think there is a " true" legal thermogenic like ephedrine on the market. Understanding that a " thermogenic" increases ones metabolism by increasing body heat, I know of know " alternative thermo" . That said, I will readily admit that I do not understand the mechanisms by which each and every fat loss aid works. So, if I answer your question, there really is none. Second, if I change your question to " what is the best supplement to aid fatloss that is not ephedrine based" , then suddenly we have a plethora of answers. Third, I am not a believer in spouting off brands of supplements. To many people just want to know " what brand should I buy" and don' t care what is in it. Bad idea. First, learn what ACTIVE ingredients work, choose which you would like to imploy, learn proper dosing protocol and synergistic ingredients, learn how it works and affects the body, as well as its positive and potential negative effects. Then and only then can you put that substance into your body. The next step is to figure out what brand to use, or whether it is available in bulk. You want to go bulk, to save more, or brand for conveniend. How to pick a brand? Look for companies that have scruples, that advertise honestly, that offer a good product for the cost. As around, read message boards, etc in terms of learning a companies (or a specific products) reputation for efficacy. That said, bear in mind that I am biased, as I work for/with a supplement company, Avant Labs. I say that because only trolls do not openly admit bias. Now, what actives are worth looking into as fat loss aids? Here is a list: - fish oil - yohimbine (a2 agonist) - 7-keto DHEA (T3 (thyroid) potentiator) - guggul sterones - synephrine - caffiene There are probably a few others. Each effects the body in a different way. An interesting brand product that is new to the market is Tight, by SAN. It basically incorporates all of the best actives other than ephedrine available in one package. Preliminary feedback seems good. It is not cheap. I like 7-keto a lot, but it is not very bioavailable orally. If you are nervous about ephedrine, yohimbine probably isn' t the best choice either. Lastly, all of those " non-ephedrine thermos" are pretty much garbage, unless it incorporates some or all of the above, at the necessary doses.

What do you take as a fat loss aid? I' m looking around for various products and am getting the same impression. That ephedra has gotten a bad rap.. will be banned in CA at the least and the choices of alternates are not even in the same category. However, I liked your response. Gives me a lot to research and be aware of. So many people think in terms of " brands" and never understand what' s in them, why they work, why they don' t work or what an alternative might be. What if your store doesn' t have the brand you want? If you know the ACTIVE ingredients, you can easily find a suitable alternative. Otherwise, you' re stuck asking the clerk what he thinks works just like Brand A and praying he knows his/her stuff. Not a chance I wanna take. Thanks Peaks for the concise answer! Gave that post a A rating.

Thanks. Personally, I use ephedrine and Yohimbine, as well as 7-keto DHEA (Avant Labs FL7).
